Yeah, I think it's deliberate honestly. The site is set up in a way where once something's gone there's no archive whatsoever.

That is actually insane. I guess it's finally gotten to a point where the mods can't guide the conversation in a way they like. Lol @ saying users can't remain civil, it's almost like US politics are extremely contentious right now or something.

Update: Yeah they just straight up deleted the US Politics thread. Every other country gets one though. I don't know if it's arrogance or pure stupidity but if they really think they can stop people from talking about the fucking United States during an election year then whoo boy.

It's one of those fanwork tropes that pops up a lot: morally good or at least nuanced characters turned evil in somebody's fanfic out of what was probably spite, especially if they are deemed a threat to their ship. Ron Weasley is the classic demonstration, sometimes literally becoming a Death Eater just so he could be taken out of love triangles in favor of the preferred partner. Either way, the trope examples were often hilarious and getting rid of them makes the trope rather dull, especially since it was likely done because some tropers got mad when their fics were mocked.
 
So, I noticed that the jannies were pissed, this morning. Turns out that it was over something trivial. "Trivial" as in Fighteer misbehaving, again.

The "because I said so" routine is is still ongoing and one of the veterans ate an ban for quoting an terrorist(?) in his signature.

Nah but as cringe as tropers are, I oppose obvious censorship much more. If whole threads are getting thumped because the mods can't control the conversation, those fuckers should be mocked viciously.

No, he didn't. What happened was, his signature was "The Republican Party is a terrorist organization". The admins (not even the mods) decided that that shit wouldn't fly in an election year (...despite TVT being a lefty shithole) and nuked his signature.

He put it back.

They deleted it again and forum suspended him for refusing to toe the party line "not listening to instructions".

Rather predictable. Still, an utter asshole move by the admins (who don't give a fuck about anything but money), but rather predictable.

I love how these people fill their list with non-professional critics of media. As if anything xxxSniperWolfxxx says on his or her YouTube channel holds any weight and isn't otherwise a means of boosting their numbers by band-wagoning the current thing.
