he took great offense at some people suggesting what kind of porn he liked IIRC.
They didn't suggest anything, a user found out he was a mod for a fetish site dedicated to feet, which also allowed a lot of loli, some of which he gave detailed reviews of. The site's been shut down, so there's not much to look at besides all the people mocking him on his profile.

He certainly was in dire need of an internet lumberjack...

It also doesn't help Wikia or in this case Fandom as its called, has been making their website more unbearable with all the ads, ui changes and other shit they have been pulling as of late. The Minecraft wiki may as well be the shining example of how fucked wikia/fandom can do to a once reputable wiki.
As I said, a dogshit website to build your wiki on.

Some lunatic was doing the "man in an dress" routine, someone else pointed out that this was satirical, an mod took an look at his userpage and banned him for the usual reasons. But look, he's still wants to go for Round Two.
Why do they hate the wikia anyway? Do they just have "problematic" tropes they won't get rid of or something?
They hate it because it was an perfectly legal archive of the site (that got screwed over by Wikia's global wordfilter against joggers) that had most of the gross shit that FE had scrubbed off the main site. FE and Fighteer were so assmad about it that any mentions of the spinoffs were initially subject to censorship and it's been speculated that TVT had changed their licensing to prevent these types of incidents. But it's worth noting that after FE had stepped down, things have been more amicable between them, mostly over the goals of keeping track of sperglords like Nate Spidgewood.

At any rate, GethN7 is an giant moralfag, which got him kicked off of Wikia and downgraded his admin privileges on the Miraheze site (over the Cuties movie). Nowadays, he mainly keeps to himself; but I haven't really looked at what he's up to, lately

Oh, yeah. At the time, Wikia was purging those "fetish wikis" that the autists were managing and he had publicly stated that he was helping them migrate to Miraheze.

Of course, it also raises the question of exactly why would he care about what was essentially the wiki equivalent of an image gallery.

He is, indeed. Autistically so. But his heart seems to be in the right place, and he's usually quite light-hearted and polite, to my knowledge. He's some sort of nerdy, hentai-lover, bible thumper Rorscharch, if such an unholy combination were ever to be possible.

I think his meltdown, doxing and subsequent exile from internet public life was much needed, and hopefully he'd left the internet altogether. At a given point I would find him everywhere: TVTropes, Wikia, he was here in KF, and he was in some other forums and blogging spaces I cannot recall (I think he wrote a few articles in Medium about Gamergate) and in a sizable chunk of them he had modding or admin privileges.

I think this may have not been very healthy...

As much as I dislike tv tropes‘s administration, to be perfectly honest, Geth’s efforts were doomed from the start.

Others have mentioned how horrible wikia is, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg,

Merely copying existing TV tropes articles just made them look and feel like a cheap knock off. The result is just outdated articles nobody is going to bother to update. All while the tv tropes version is going to be updated the second a new my little pony episode, or whatever the flavor of the month is arrives.

You would basically need to start over to truly differentiate yourself from tv Tropes. But given Tv tropes has literal hundreds of people with no life literally obsessed with tropes AND their favorite niche hobby franchise like say My Little pony, even if you had paid employees you would never be able to match them.

Geth might had a slim chance if he had something to offer besides “Tv tropes but worse“. But to be fair, I imagine the user base and admins couldn’t hav been as terrible as Tv tropes so there’s that.

The mods were gravely offended, so they've stopped arguing amongst themselves to permanently ban him instead of addressing the guy who went off his meds, again.

Edit: So, guys. The new owner has finally gotten off his ass and took a break from "fixing" the site to announce that any and all criticism of the rank-and-file moderation should be done privately and the pronoun sperg was unbanned. Well, it was an great run while it lasted, since at least 3 jannies have retired, this year. Naturally, the plebs are confused and starting to push back against it.

Well, everyone involved is still pissed because the admin unilaterally let the eviiiilll bigot back on the site and the mods are busy arguing with him over it in private.

Buuuuut, the new owner really hates being criticized in public. So, stuff is getting censored because nobody can handle someone else's opinions, anymore. Which led to the admin doing the perfectly reasonable action of temporarily locking the thread and banning everyone involved.

The year's not even over and the jannies can't last an few months without some drama. But while we're waiting for the jannies to (privately) argue with the admin for creating another group of manchildren to console, (everyone involved was banned for 3 days over an miscommunication from him) here's an random LGBT theory from Pokemon

Now the guy is trying to find out just how many moralfags are on there. Note, that he's also an Air Force vet, which kind of explains why he's acting like an disciplinarian when people kept prodding him for an actual answer.

Deleted thread that was covering the current situation.

And now, that the original public policy thread is active, people are still angry over the same shit and the admins have promised to ban that guy from last week if he starts being transphobic, again.

Oh, look. Someone didn't take his happy pills, this morning. The rest of the admins can't handle the userbase mildly criticising them. Another retard opened up an new thread because for some reason, accountability matters an lot to them.

But people are also complaining about it on Reddit. But not just for the eloquent responses that have been posted on TVT, it's mainly over promoting transphobia. Orchestrating an mass protest by using ad blockers since they currently hate the new set of admins more than Fighteer.

Random apology from Kory

You know, with how bad the moderator scene is right now on TVT, I can tell a lot of users in TVT are scared of even visiting the website given that the admins are constantly powertripping in these recent weeks. And this is after Fighteer's resignation, jfc.

Check out what TV Tropes has under the Jerks Are Worse Than Villains section for The Boys 2019

It's also worth mentioning that the moderation hasn't been processing the ban appeals during this ongoing "crisis"
If only they handled bans, and appeals, in private they wouldn’t have all these “crisis“.

Oh wait… But if they did that, then they couldn’t power trip and do public humiliation to their users. Seriously ? Asking people to write essays, apologies in public, and involving users to metaphorically throw tomatoes and create more drama? Even this site isn’t that cruel with bans.

Don’t forget that the evil cyber bullying kiwi farming site talk to staff section is PRIVATE.

I will be fair to them and concede that TV tropes is a magnet for people with weird obsessions, and mental illnesses, so draconian measures are understandable to an extent.

What I don’t buy is the need to create a whole circus about it. It’s obvious to me that moderating their users is only secondary to them feeling powerful and important. If they truly cared about solving issues, they could just do what any, non insane, site does and solve it without involving the whole community.

Honestly, this is actually the best part of the site. Plus, it also invites the resident autists to obsessively shadow someone so they can tattle on them.

Yeah, but even with the draconian amount of enforcement and reporting, there's an few dozen people who can't be bothered to take an hint or two to learn how to site works or that there's an certain set of opinions that'll get them banned.

The rioting is entirely on the fault on their userbase. One thing that I've noticed is that sizeable portion of the current wave of protesters have admitted to having ASD or ADHD, and we all know how they respond to any form of injustice.

God it's never gonna end. Total Troper Death can't come soon enough.
Yeah, taking an break from the site isn't an punishment coming from the guy who "has certain fixations on certain subjects "

Of course. For getting drama it is good for us. There's no better way to see how insane that community truly is. After all if they were sane, they wouldn't have a thread here, right?

But, for running a site? It is quite possibly one of the most narcissistic things moderators can do. Even reddit mods don't bother. And honestly, I don't get why they don't get criticized for it enough.

To be fair I know how some tropers have legit mental illnesses so I do get why they are so ban happy when it comes to normal issues like wiki vandalism or whatever However, what's makes the admins power tripping dictators, in my opinion, is their need to act as surrogate parents, and thought police the users.

Probably because it's the only thing that actually gets through the userbase...most of the time. But even then, the same problems keep popping up.

and thought police the users.
I was going to blame this on the gradual shift towards social justice and the like, but then I remember that Fast Eddie routinely pulled that card whenever he was criticized an bit too much.

But anyways, people are still parroting each other in an attempt to bully the administration and Kory was unaware as to how often the plebs narc on each other
