I was trying to find out where this even came from and I guess from a dvd commentary and basically it sounds like the idea is less "less represent queers" and more "in total isolation people will fuck anything" and as sexual and phallic as the aliens themselves are imagery wise that probably was a thematic tie. apparently there was going to be a line of dialogue where ripley and lambert discuss how every guy on the ship had mentioned they want to fuck. and scott said that in HINDSIGHT he'd have included a gay character. Also I can't remember for sure but I'm pretty sure the script was written with no character's genders even specified in it. Regardless this seems like a misunderstanding of a dude saying he'd go back and put a gay character in now and there was supposed to be a scene where 2 women on an isolated ship discuss every man propositioning them for sex to somehow be lgbtq+ poly shit somehow. probably mental gymnastics to combine the casual sex reference with some version of the script just not saying peoples genders outright and the fact 30 years later Scott said a gay character would be included if he was making it then

Btw, the Tropers also see the trans interpretation as completely redeeming the sequels to The Matrix.

I'm a matrix sequel apologist, they came out when I was in elementary school. that is why I like them. point blank they're not legitimately good movies, if there was more to them that nobody was "getting" it wouldn't have taken 20 years and the director's becoming trans for the internet to have cracked their code.
 
Also, despite the fact that the film arguably takes a shot at the people who only view the series as about trans politics, the Tropers still see Matrix Resurrections as being all about that. Also note how they describe it and how they view their "old life and societal expectations" as.

unlike matrix 2/3 these trannies don't need to make excuses,. despite most people hating it, I loved matrix 4 because it essentially is the most expensive fuck you ever made. it shits on most peoples insinuations about the original, (looking at you troons), it shits on it's sequels, it really shits on the studio, its filled with clips from the original to the point its got like a half hour of repeated footage, and is entirely a movie about why matrix sequels shouldn't have ever been made and it shouldn't exist and why Hollywood shouldn't reboot shit and should fuck off. I get why people hated it bc it shit on the audience but I enjoyed it as I have never seen a movie with such meta contempt and disdain for itself and everybody watching it. it explicitly had neo frustrated and irritated when someone claims the matrix is about trans rights lol the fact only Lana Wachowski made it makes me think Lily irl has doubled down on the og being about that and Lana felt the need to point out that despite their faggotry, no we didn't make that movie about that 20 years ago

Tropers are the exact kind of people who went ballistic over COVID and called the cops on kids playing outside or whatever. I was in the forum back in March/April 2020 and they legitimately thought it was an extinction event. Yeah we were all a little scared but get a grip, seriously.

You can visually see by the amount of examples and separate pages on the subject how seriously they took it. Even now, long after most people have calmed down, they're still going. Comparing it to Cancer and AIDS.

Tropers are the reasons why the only places in the US or Europe in 2023 that still have mask mandates are anime cons and vidya tournaments.
