They also had a moment of awesome for MrEnter ranting about cartoons about how they shouldn't be seen as kids stuffI just realized that tropers might be the kind of people that unironically watch "Stephanie" Sterling![]()
It's like the anti-racists who pretend we're living under 911 Jim Crows right now. They get to play the righteous hero without having to oppose anyone powerful or more popular than themTV Tropes is a marvelous place to waste time when you're an autist and like reading all sorts of stupid shit about your favourite movies and TV shows. Spent many an hour killing time in the high school computer lab doing that. Never even knew there were forums until tonight though, and given what I already knew about the site, I'm not surprised these are the people writing all of this. You kind of have to be at least a little bit on the spectrum to enjoy things like this.
They do use a lot of energy because you have to have a bunch of computers running, but so does fuckin' everything in a modern industrial society. People who already hated the concept of NFTs and crypto and shit just started this campaign about energy usage and how we have "12 years to hingus the bingus" etc etc etc.
I personally think NFTs are mostly a dumb concept, but I really don't get the people who make hating NFTs like... a personality trait. I see NFTs how I see Amway or Cutco or Scentsy. Obviously it's not a smart use of your money and it won't actually make you rich. So just don't buy into it and move on, ez pz. But then you get these people who act like it's some sort of crusade or worthy adversary or something that needs to be "defeated" instead of just a dumb fad that'll wear out over time. Even most crypto people knew NFTs were bullshit from the gate. Cryptocurrency can actually be useful as a means of exchange. Pictures of bored apes or whatever were never going to massively increase in value just because each one is unique or whatever.
I don't get what drives these people to devote so much time and effort towards hating something that most people already know is bullshit. It's like spending hours every day writing about why Amway's MLM structure.
The guy came out being an arrogant jackass who insulted the crowd from day one. Of course he was going to get heat no matter what color he was (or pretended to be). You're right about the nuance. That entry is 100% whitewashing that the character was a hypocite that literally had terrorist connections that he used to attack other wrestlers. But I think what they're getting at is that the level of nuclear heat Hassan generated was due largely to the fact that the audience thought he was a muslim dude. So like there was racism at play, but they picked the wrong character to champion.
Well, they still like to pretend that Channel Awesome still is -or for that matter, ever was- "awesome", so I wouldn't put it past them.I just realized that tropers might be the kind of people that unironically watch "Stephanie" Sterling![]()
THEY ALL BELIEVED DOUG WALKER WAS MAKING BLOWJOB FACES AT THE CAMERAI may have posted this a while ago, but it's still relevant. Calling tv tropes love for channel awesome obsessive will always be funny

Well at least their being honest referring to themselves for once. Most pages they pretend their opinions are the "fandoms".I may have posted this a while ago, but it's still relevant. Calling tv tropes love for channel awesome obsessive will always be funny

I've only glimpsed the channel awesome pages but they talk about the braindead shit Linkara came up with off the cuff in his skits like it's actual gripping storytelling. Normally I'd write them off as literal children but...Channel Awesome has been defunct for years. These memories are coming from people who should be full grown adults by now.Well, they still like to pretend that Channel Awesome still is -or for that matter, ever was- "awesome", so I wouldn't put it past them.
You didn't cry at any of Linkara's heartbreaking scenes. You sir know no real entertainment like the clever folks of TV TropesI've only glimpsed the channel awesome pages but they talk about the braindead shit Linkara came up with off the cuff in his skits like it's actual gripping storytelling. I found it on all the trope's page on tv tropesWell at least their being honest referring to themselves for once. Most pages they pretend their opinions are the "fandoms".
Muslim isn't a race, though. But I think what they're getting at is that the level of nuclear heat Hassan generated was due largely to the fact that the audience thought he was a muslim dude. So like there was racism at play, but they picked the wrong character to champion.
That is correct. Islam is a religion, not a race.Muslim isn't a race, though.
Knowing Tvtropes they primarily hate it cause the author is right leaning, not for any of its actual problems.Someone really hates Dilbert, all of an sudden.
White people assuming that minorities can't be racist the same way they are is racist in and of itself. Believing that racism and the capacity for it is different for white people is the bastard child of KKK nutter and a woke white guilt cunt. Racism is racism, all there is are different levels of severity, not mitigating factors based on race. They really need to get out of the west and witness how bad some people can be other their own minorities. South Africa would be a good experience for those troper clowns. You're right about the nuance.
