Turns out when your editing privs are gone, you can't even look at discussion pages...which is a bit much I think.

Anywho, I noticed last night that a ton of subpages were cut from the Reality Ensues page because apparently there was some big schism over the meaning of "reality" and the community has made no effort to actually fix the problem. I was gonna cap a post that tried to explain it because it made me laugh; some tool was talking about how everyone has a different definition of realism. Which is not only completely false, it also doesn't explain why you guys just deleted multiple pages of other dudes hard work when nothing has fundamentally changed.
Fighteer should be demodded just for being a notorious asshole.
Doesn't Fighteer own the site now or something? He'll never step down, he probably feels like a god knowing that he has final say over literally anything that crosses his desk.

You know, there used to be an bug with the ban system where you can't post in an certain subforum with an certain combination of your rights restricted

No, it's an pair of rich webmasters who barely interact with the community.

Check out how they described the G4 Frosk controversy.

I hope the investment is paying off
Man, I really missed posting here. Happy 2023.

Anyway, the most the admins did in four years was get the site running again after it shat the bed and died in the middle of 2020.

Since then, they've barely shown their faces in the forums. Drewski (Drew) hasn't posted since 2019, and itcdr (Chris) last posted in 2022.

But they're not dead. Just trying to kill Snopes out of greed.

Everyone demanding that Fighteer be removed from the mod team seems to have overlooked a minor problem - the admins show up so rarely that you'd have to convince them to log into the database first before you could do anything.

Fighteer gets away with the shit he pulls because he's a narcissistic powertripping bully and because the people who can stop him have no reason to do so - and no incentive to correct his behavior either way. Eddie gave zero shits about it when he was the king, so why expect the new admin team to care about anything but money? They're an ad company, anyway.

I couldn't be happier if TV Tropes actually died. Nothing has done so much to kill the roots of creativity in young people than that website. Autismos dedicate their fat pasty internet-lives to simplifying & categorizing every component of every product or work of art they can find into "tropes" until it has been boiled down into sterile little boxes that nobody appreciates for any reason besides the act of soulless dissection. I wouldn't even care so much if I haven't heard people say firsthand that they use TV Tropes like an encyclopedia when trying to create things & willfully smother their own creative impulses in the crib. Thank god these genetic dead-ends & sex freaks are obsessed over cartoons for children or video games rather than any medium that's actually good.

I cringe every time that I see someone cite that website in an argument

I played the game and have no idea how they got this conclusion. Lorenz's only same-sex ending is rather clearly platonic, and his other endings consistently depict him as being a genuinely loving husband who married out of love instead of obligation. Even beforehand, he expressly stated that his principal goals in finding a spouse was mutual respect and affection if possible rather than acting entirely on political demands, thus a rather dismissive attitude to courting commoners (since such a love would inevitably be required to be cast aside for the sake of family obligations) that faded during the time skip and endings. Those tropers are actually ignoring character development in favor of trying to shove someone into the rainbow mafia, and that honestly shows how little they actually understand media.

I'm torn. As much as I hate the way the website is run, I think it's a cool tool to just see what a work is comprised of. Plus you do find some analysis there so it's not all idiot libtards and delusional trannies. Also, I'm something of a sex freak myself so I can't go too hard on that without doing some pot calling the kettle black shit.

Well, at least it isn't The Witch from Mercury...
You're lucky you've never seen the trope page from that show. Apparently "fan opinions" (the opinions of two to three basement-dwelling troons) say that the show is the best Gundam, the anime of the season, and just great overall, everyone loves the yuri "couple" because they are SO GAY, and Chuchu (who, if she was black, would be the best parody of an entitled first world black woman ever made) is the best character in the show. I about had a brain aneurysm reading it.

At this point, I'm watching the unbanning process because it's just a circus. So the mod who was overseeing the suspension appeal thread apparently dropped off the face of the Earth. Now a full week later, barely anyone is unbanned and the new guy is just dragging this shit out. They seem to weaponize your entire history and hold it against you even if it's never come up before.

"Thank you for appealing the actual thing you were punished for. Oh what's this? You have a trend of minor mistakes? Please indugle my power trip and read every new article I give you so I can continue to see you grovel.

Now THAT'S lunacy.

Just looked at the page of "Police in a Pod", another underrated anime that I just enjoyed recently.
I'm honestly not surprised at this point

I can't breathe...!!!

That's ironic, since the only I've ever even heard of that show is because some of those Anitubers (or maybe it was ANN) sperged out over the show daring to have the audacity to not portray the police as a bunch of brown-people murdering automatons.
