I was about that age too when I liked TV Tropes. The Sonichu entry was great, arguably as good as classic Encyclopedia Dramatica's. I would not be surprised if there were predators active on TV Tropes given the subject material, but Fast Eddie to his credit did start purging the creepy things like Troper Tales (famous entries include Fetish Fuel or the incest-related ones) even if it was only because advertisers started complaining.

I guess I assumed that the obsession over baby shows was solely because of autistic adults, but that's probably true that kids themselves have a lot of input on the site.

I miss when the site had more actual normies on it and that says how far it's sunk. The better pages on the site are the remaining pages from mostly long-discontinued series that don't get many new edits and are about shows watched by normies. Everything else is buried in woketardation and autistic screeching.

One of my most humiliating moments of irl powerleveling, I mentioned a trope name in casual conversation with normies but there happened to be a zoomer there who said "I see somebody has been reading TV Tropes." I screamed "QUIT CYBERBOOLYING ME" and ran out of the room crying.

Well not actually but I felt like it.

I like going in Tvtropes after finishing reading/watching something and wondering if I missed any interesting detail, but god damn the newer the entry the worse it gets. The two worse trends are trannies (every character that isn't 100% gender norms is trans) and how anti-edgy it gets (almost every Nightmare Fuel is mild as fuck "it got me feeling uncomfortable").
 
 Well, the mods have made an "final statement" about the ongoing witch hunt and all it did was pissed off quite an few people. But while there's some accurate criticism buried within them repeating "systematic abuse of power," they still want Fighteer demodded because autists tend to drive themselves insane over uncertainties.

In unrelated news, the RL sections for Dunning-Keuger effect and page for several off-color jokes is getting pruned
 
My ban has now gone on for a week because the mods can't simply unban you, they need you to apologize and take a written test about what they feel you did wrong.

Libtards have such an insane hard on for trans people that it's actively ruining media analysis. A character can't simply exist anymore, now they have to be a parallel for X,Y and Z and have 8 genders and identify as a shoe. Also if you aren't pandering to mentally ill men, then you're a bigot.

You could pretty much remove every trope that spans more than two sentences and only improve the site. The whole "worse in hindsight" tropes are also guilty of being abused as shit, and are usually tangents or no shit - "an old actor dies in a movie and dies a year afterwards".

Someone there mentions "Death of the Author" and it is probably what doomed the entire site as well as modern culture in general. It's a justification for degenerates to ignore what's written for their degenerate headcanon, but god forbid you do something like say that They Live is applicable to liberal elites or Jews.

In fact, it was so bleak and alienating, that it became ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR ENTRIES IN THE ENTIRE MAIN MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM FRANCHISE IN ITS HOME COUNTRY OF JAPAN. It scared the children so much that Bandai-Namco actually greenlit a video game sequel for mobile aimed at the same people who were traumatised by Iron-Blooded Orphans! In fact, IBO was so disastrous that it's still fondly remembered by a good number of fans whilst Gundam Build Divers, the spin-off show TV Tropes says "saved the franchise", is completely forgotten about! Why do these manchildren go out of their way to slander anything that isn't explicitly aimed at kids, tryhards or twitreddit folk?

Because IBO is full of objectively bad writing because it is half fujo fap bait, half overtly edgy shit, hence why it isn't remembered today for any reason beside that.
