Yeah, Tsubasa is indeed a crossdresser. That's nothing new in some anime and manga; Japan isn't picky about doing that because they likely just think it's cute and funny or something. And...trans lesbian? That sounds like an oxymoron. I admittedly don't have a lot of knowledge about this character, but this is still really dumb regardless.

I miss the days when this site actually used to be fun to both read and be on... Now it's nothing but this thoughtless bullshit I suspect isn't anything the majority who look at these shows ever think about besides the obsessive weirdos on the site think about.

I knew the day would come where they would claim Ranma, curse them.

Do they remember Ranma was very much masculine and manly and that was the joke? I know they're shallow enough to bypass any and all context and nuance, but Ranma never, ever, identified as a woman or stated that he preferred to be a woman. Surely, he spent more pages as a woman because Rumiko Takahashi had to sell her manga to horny teenagers but it was very much the case in-story that he used his female form just like another weapon and that's about all is there to it.

I notice they know this and just dismiss it outright in the text because it doesn't fit their preconceptions. So, fuck you trannies. You're poisoning a(nother) cherished memory of mine with your stupid fetish.

Also, TVTropes used to prominently feature Rumiko Takahashi's immortal words to people who made takes like these: "I don't think about these things and neither should you"

Actually, the narrator is some doctor in the story who's only crime is just using the wrong pronouns...Because this is some Japanese comic that was written around 40 years ago.

In short: Character in a gag series has a running joke where she thinks she's male because she doesn't act in a stereotypically female manner (also a joke about how female hyenas have genitalia that look like penises). She gets a focus arc where she tries to act more feminine and then finally comes to the realization that just because she's a tomboy, she's not any less of a woman, and accepts herself for it.

Seems like a pretty uplifting message, no? Not for the troons at TVT, who are convinced that this episode actually sent the exact opposite message, and she's a heckin' valid FTM.

This guy actually admits in his post that he's wrong, because she's explicitly referred to as female, but it doesn't matter because of muh representation.

They did this to Hideri, too, and they're busy scrubbing any mentions of Ryuji from Blue Period being called a man. Did the same thing to Fire Punch where Togata stated she wanted to be a man but could never become one because of the end of the world, Fujimoto explicitly calls her female, and the TVT autists ignore the actual creator and refer to her as a he/him anyways.

more about togata, her desire to become a man is entirely rooted in her own belief that women can't be heroes and her own desire to be one.
This is also why she follows Agni around, she wan't to live vicariously through him as and make him the hero she believes she can't be.
And eventually she accepts being called sister and sacrifices herself to save Agni, she finally accepts her identity as a woman and is still able to be a hero albeit a sacrificial one.
 
Well, Fighteer has been having quite an few controversial opinions over the past few months. Such as: Being called out for sayinng asexuality js abnormal, followed by being out of date with the current terminology, actual asexual whining about how rough they had it, Starship Troopers, and the last hot take in that thread was caused by someone blaming rap music for kids twerking. But going back to our favorite boomer talking about eugenics, railing against anti-natalism--and that's essentially it, aside from the witch hunt that I got these from

It is currently Day 4 of the site's Europeans and SJWs trying to cancel our favorite boomer and the only thing that they've accomplished is argue amongst themselves over how ethical it is to blindly defend him. And as you'd expect, they're overanalyzing everything that he says.

Outside of the obligatory reminder that citing statistics counts as dehumanizing the LGBT crowd, the only thing that's currently happening is them complaining that he should be held to the same standards as they are because their feelings are hurt or something for around 30 pages.

Edit: He's taking an mental health break. So yeah, half an week's worth of arguing for this.

Well I'm banned from editing again. Apparently, they don't think it's prudent to send a private message telling you what you did, so they force you to go beg for mercy in the forums. If I had to guess, I must've angered some retard and started an """edit war""" over an anime entry. Ooh, maybe it was me calling out their idiotic use of making whole threads just to debate an edit someone made. I popped in, said "You guys know you could've just asked me to delete it?" and then went on my merry way.

I'm not too surprised, TVT is full of wannabe authoritarians who piss and shit all over the place when someone makes them feel small.

If anything, children (and manchildren) are probably some of the site's biggest fans, or at least they edit the place a lot, making it a pain in the ass for people whose tastes have evolved past the fifth grade.

I respectfully disagree, TVT is a fantastic entry into the world of encyclopediac knowledge of various forms of media for children. The very nature of the site attracts kids, teenagers and stunted adults. I might be revealing too much, but I discovered the site when I was 15 and thought it was amazing. It wasn't until my brain finished developing that I realized how terrible it's run. Back to the kids though, wasn't there like a whole controversy over grooming and bullying (of literal children by 30 year olds) back when Fast Eddie was running the show? And then his solution was to ban the victims and give the predators a slap on the wrist?
