And a double standard at that, considering I tried to add the actual review to the Films sub-section and said entry got nuked...which lead to my second ban via "edit war".

On another note, I really hate these people for tacking on "muh trans representation" onto anything that could be construed as such. Case in point: the YMMV page on Osamu Tezuka's Princess Knight.

I know I'm coming across as an autist powerleveling about this, but I get sick of seeing it everywhere when I'm trying to just look at articles on this sinking ship of a website (honestly, I don't know why I even bother with it these days apart from pointing and laughing alongside you guys).

But back on topic, you just gotta love how every tomboy always has to be transgender because they aren't traditionally girly. Never mind that the idea that Sapphire was ever transgender even crossed Tezuka's mind because this manga was made decades before everyone began sperging about social justice. Why in God's name should modern values be applied to anything older than the current generation?

I wonder what they think of the Black Jack character who is eighteen but is also a pile of organs in a little girl silicon doll that wants to marry Black Jack.

I'd love for them to read the Blackjack chapter where a woman who needed to have her ovaries removed because of cancer is later depicted as a straight up guy after this surgery than their fucked up bizarro mutant inbetween abomination against nature chimera gender. Tezuka was woke and wise to not go broke. These faghags honestly know nothing about anime and manga.

Iirc they're oddly sympathetic.
I admit it's a pretty odd, unique situation. She's been conscious for eighteen years, and it was Black Jack that put her in such a small body. In the end she's literally just a slightly psychic pile of organs. I'm just surprised they're sympathetic rather than pointing a finger and shouting loli or something.

Speaking of which... This particular screenshot hails from that work's very YMMV page! Take note of that last sentence. ...and yes, it was in spoiler tags.

Yes, because having life-saving surgery to remove a cancerous uterus and ovaries and lamenting the loss of potential motherhood is "sexist ideology".

These fucking people... Where are these supposed debates anyway? Are they just pulling this out of their asses?

Is it because she lives as a man afterward?

Is it because she lives as a man afterward?
Yes. I don't know how it really played out in the manga proper (haven't had the chance to read it but I would love to at some point) but I think Tezuka's aim was to denote the tragedy of how Megumi has lost an important biological function and really has no choice but to live as a man.

Which, ironically enough, is the exact regret a lot of these people wind up having once they realize they fucked up their bodies and go the way of the 41%.

Alright, I realize you guys might be getting sick of me posting continually and bitching about the same thing over and over again (maybe to the point of being A-loggy), but seriously, this shit is everywhere and I feel it's my duty to help catalogue this insanity.

This time, we have none other than Ranma 1/2's YMMV page...so it's no surprise we have tranny bullshit stinking up the joint.
Screenshot 2022-12-11 at 13-00-14 Ranma ½ _ YMMV - TV Tropes.png

...no. Just...no. Ranma was born a fucking male and he was cursed to turn into a woman due to a spring in China. He doesn't "come out" and Lord knows that he isn't terribly happy to have been cursed not because he's a trans man but because maybe, just maybe, shifting between two genders when touching hot or cold water is more than a little inconvenient? Jesus Christ!

Oh, but the retardation isn't finished, my fellow Kiwis.

How? How does Ryouga have gender dysphoria?! I don't believe that was even a thing in 1987 and this just sounds like a stretch. Especially since his own curse is turning into a pig. Gender dysphoria and transforming into a miniature black pig are two completely different things!

And one more for now.

Yeah, Tsubasa is indeed a crossdresser. That's nothing new in some anime and manga; Japan isn't picky about doing that because they likely just think it's cute and funny or something. And...trans lesbian? That sounds like an oxymoron. I admittedly don't have a lot of knowledge about this character, but this is still really dumb regardless.

I miss the days when this site actually used to be fun to both read and be on... Now it's nothing but this thoughtless bullshit I suspect isn't anything the majority who look at these shows ever think about besides the obsessive weirdos on the site think about.

I'm pretty sure the site's heyday was 2013 at the latest.

iirc Pinoco's body is that of a little girl bc the "pile of organs" is rather weak after all the years of being a sentient tumor and can barely handle an artifical body itself. She tried going to school like other kids but her fake body was weakened and she fell ill, that's why she stays around as Black Jack's assistant. Additionally, Black Jack never treats Pinoco as anything but a daughter - which in a way, she IS. That reduces the squick QUITE a bit.

Also, UUUUUGH the Princess Knight bullshit. Sapphire was ALWAYS a girl who just happened to be a huge tomboy due to the mess-up in Heaven, and she actually fell in love with a Prince and dressed up like a girly girl to be with him. Making her a trans boy misses the point of her character AND is both transphobic and misogynistic as fuck.

RANMA SAOTOME IS NOT A TRAN WOMAN! Ranma was born a cis guy, considers himself a cis guy, and desperately wants a cure to the curse that gives him a woman's body when splashed with water! Gods, it's really TRANSPHOBIC to ignore how a person identifies just so it will suit your ~trans headcanon~. Plus that filler episode put emphasis on how Ranma WAS NOT HIMSELF when he believed he was a girl due to having amnesia, and when he recovered he IMMEDIATELY ditched that OOC behavior.

These people read Tezuka's manga and Ranma 1/2 with their asses, and it shows.

Hate to show this, but Twitter out of all places has accurately described TV tropes perfectly.

Actually, a better way to sum up TV Tropes is:
TV Tropes is 90% Trannies taking a property, imagining that their worldview is in it, and then proceeding to force their ideology onto it.
Yeah. that's more like it.

I made the right move by not visiting that site as much after they defended Cuties.
