This is FE fandom on TVT, they decided that Sylvain's father was physically abusive to him coming from a dialogue that implies Sylvain's BROTHER was the one who beat him up. There's not a lot of reading comprehension in there. :story:
All of the Faerghus dads suffer from this. Rodrigue is treated as a neglectful parent that cared more about his first son dying a hero than raising Felix, Gilbert becomes a deadbeat that ran away from his family for no real reason and could care less about Annette, they act like Ingrid's dad forces her into horrific marriage arrangements without her consent purely for the dowries, and the aforementioned misinterpretation that Matthias beat Sylvain and threw Miklan out simply for being crestless. Admittedly, most of the cast does have daddy issues, but the fandom definitely plays it up and ignores components of Japanese tradition that influence some character's behavior to try to turn almost every parental figure in the game into a sack of shit on par with Count Varley and Baron Bartels.

Also, they run with the Edelgard simping and play defense for her “no u” line alongside treating Rhea as a misanthropic bitch who kills anyone that so much as prays wrong.

Worse, they ignore that Count Varley and Baron Bartels are actually the worst, and so is Mercedes' adoptive father who forcibly adopted her by throwing his money around. But people find Bernadetta annoying so they write her off, and only a handful of people actually care about Mercedes aside from making her the background smiley mom friend in their shippy melodramas.

Actually, TVTropes hates Edelgard. They call her a Karma Houdini for not getting kicked in the pussy on her own route for her actions, try to downplay her route as noncanon, and call her a stubborn bitch for having her own values and goals aside from "be the blue team who fights for traditional justice" or "be the guy who admits to searching Rhea's room and asking to read your dad's diary while you're still mourning".

Are you surprised that tropers have daddy issues? I figured that's a given.

I was flipping through their US politics thread to see if there was any funny seething on abortion and came across an unexpected gem:

It will never fail to disgust me that the first thing these people think about when innocent people are slaughtered and maimed is how it affects their tastes in media.
"How can I make this tragedy about me and my interests?"

If we're gonna have more mass shootings, then hopefully all of them are weebs so this guy gets a life.

I really hope the writers of Chucky don’t get any ideas from this WMG page.

>GFLfag talking about politics while shoehorning their ChiCom game
The mere history of GethN7 in this website has taught me that GFL players should be bullied until they repent.

Also, out of curiosity I decided to check the other posts from that troper and sure enough, the autism bells were ringing on the roof.

They really like The Boys for it reaffirming their views on anyone that doesn't share their politics.

And again, they mock those on the right who now have an issue with it.

I have it on good authority that the only people within the West who plays those kind of games are coomers, and stuff like Azure Lane is also enabling them.

And Fighteer is being his usual self in regards with the "delete your account and your ban is permanent" rule. Plus, someone else is criticising the appeals process.

Why The Fandom Can Not Have Nice things has few weirdly stupid examples, including this

Said OC? A white pony with rainbow hair and black markings, aka one of the oldest MLP OC cliches.
Tellingly, the only complain like that.

Also, I found this there:

I'm not going to reveal my cringe political leanings, but can we please as a society stop using the word "woke"? It has done irreparable damage to political discourse in this fucking country.

It also doesn’t help that The Boys on Amazon literally mishandled the way how the comic book was envisioned after Season 3. These people don’t care the source material, and now want to pretend that they were fans of Garth Ennis’ work.

They more or less have little respect for the original comic, claiming the showrunners are better than Ennis.

Not saying that I like Garth Ennis's works (quite the opposite actually), but based on the way the show is going, it's only natural why these folks gravitate more to the show (especially due to how far-left they lean).

I would like to know more.

Though I'll admit I'm not an Ennis fan, I haven't really watched the show either but have seen a lot 'about' the show and just find things like adaption divergences interesting.

The thread in the Art & Literature part of this site goes into a lot more detail as far as how the changes were made to make the show more politically correct than incorrect. They even changed storylines of already canonized characters to make it look absurd than good.
