I've seen that guy, ImmortalBear. Basically, he's TVT's premier reviewer, in that he has more activities making reviews for shit he consooms. Unfortunately, not all of his reviews shine like gold, but rather smells like piss. Also, I found his Last Jedi review as proof:

In addition, here is his diatribe of Joker, written in March 9, 2022, oh yes, that very late. If you thought his rant on Top Gun was massively autistic, then you'll want to see this:

Weird. His last jedi review is almost... sensible (save the last paragraph but still).

NRA bad, gun control good.
What's hilarious is that half the time from the way they speak you'd think the NRA was hand crafting every gun and passing them out across the nation like Gideons and their bibles.

Fighteer is starting shit, again.

I'll do an summary in an hour or so, but here's the public complaint

Fighteer mentioned that he wants climate change before LGBT rights and an retarded shouting match starts because someone asked "do you want LGBTs to die" and our favorite boomer gets offended because politicians are incapable of mulititasking. But at any rate, another mod ended it right after someone pointed out that our favorite boomer has an history of throwing minorities under the bus in favor of anything else.

God damn. Cole Smithey is a better reviewer than this guy. His points about TLJ aren't wrong, but he never gets to the meat of why people hated that movie, presumably because it doesn't align with his ideology. As for his Joker review, man, what a fucking retard. Joker was never supposed to be funny, and why would he even get that idea?

I might as well replace my liver, at this point.
See? You should give up that inferior meat shell and replace it with the cool metal and processors of a robot.

Take a drink every time Fighteer pisses off the hivemind with his takes.
It is the future he choose, so I will be drinking in laughter and celebration. :D

You know, speaking of Top Gun and Fighteer, the old boomer has another shit take once again. Also, that last part of his spoiler:
  • "I was really hoping they'd have the balls to kill off Maverick. Just subvert the inevitable heroic rescue one time, please. But nope."
Really makes you think at the mindset these jannies have.

Fuck mods and fuck jannies once again

I read his take, and apart from his "muh suspension of disbelief" sperging I noticed that he doesn't seem to have any respect for the military or military personnel at all. Case in point, these quotes:

  • "I have no idea why this program would have done anything to get the Navy (?) to decide not to move to drones."
  • "The superseding premise is that only human pilots are capable of flying by instinct and pulling off incredibly dangerous and unpredictable combat maneuvers. This is, frankly, bullshit — for one thing, we see pilots black out at 10 G, which is something a drone would never do."
  • "I heard "fifth-generation fighter" so many times that it started to become meaningless, but is someone in the writer's room pulling double-duty for the military-industrial complex to promote additional funding for fighter development to the general public, hoping we'll be okay with Congress blowing another trillion dollars on a flying piece of junk?"
Fuck that guy. At least he's not a troon.

....not yet.

I like how these tropers want a dumb action movie to have some politics and act like by not doing that it's being political in a different way. Sometimes a film is simply meaningless and while it may go full "AMERICAN MILITARY IS COOL!", it's silly to act like a sequel to a film from decades ago will have meaningful influence policy decision for politicians that would already screw over average people anyway.

"Silence is violence". If you don't spout the leftist dogma, they just assume that you must be an evil Nazi.

Sometimes a film is simply meaningless and while it may go full "AMERICAN MILITARY IS COOL!", [...]
I mean, the American military is cool. I wish my country's military was at least half as cool as that of the USA.

[...] it's silly to act like a sequel to a film from decades ago will have meaningful influence policy decision for politicians that would already screw over average people anyway.
This point loops back to the first one. Conspiracy theories exist en masse on the left, they seem to think that there is a nefarious agenda at work that prevents us all from living in a socialist utopia. They then accuse their political opponents of being conspiracy theorists, in a childish "no u" way.

So, he's just bitching about the lack of research that went into the film?

As if Hollywood isn't guilty of pulling this out on an daily basis; why are people up in arms over this, anyways? It's not even half as stupid as the Ghostbusters reboot.

I don't know if I can put a finger on it, but it really feels like the TV Tropes users have some sort of contempt towards the film. And not just because of how little its thread is populated compared to things like the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers film and the upcoming Thor film.

Like, they are comparing it to Star Wars in a negative way, alongside mocking its usage of nostalgia, to the point of saying that the writers were masturbating over other properties. If someone can explain why they are acting so smug and overly nitpicky about this film, along with criticizing this film for only working when you turn your brain off, when I hardly see them do it for other films, I'd be more than happy.

I mean seems the obvious answer is that this film is "fascist" and "right-wing" instead of the good, liberal films that tropers like.

(No, I'm not saying the film is that, I'm describing their POV.)

And Rescue Rangers is furry Disneyshit of the month

This. They are just mad that it's not another postmodernist deconstruction. Also, it's not one of the franchises they consoom.

I honestly thought Disney was over furry crap and they only produced Star Wars, the MCU, and the occasional "original" animation movie.
