I wasn't even talking about the movie, I was talking about the 2000s and this whole "it was a lawless land where trans were lynched daily" motif the user was implying.

These people have really begun to have a distortion impression of any "before time" - like every person in the world was roaming the streets, just looking for the first person they could victimize. Spoiler alert: Most folks were too busy with their own lives to bother with other folks. Even in the Jim Crow south black people could go a whole day without getting punched. Sometimes there were even white people who were nice or friendly to them as they disagreed with the regime. And it's bullshit for these folks to try and claim that a period within living memory was some kind of lawless mad-max wasteland.

Heck, they even have an entire section stating things that were progressive back then aren't like that nowadays. Just take a look at the Video Game part of it to see how they view attractive female characters.

Apparently, these are all seen as "outdated" in terms of representation (cause heaven forbid they praise any female characters that aren't stoic un-feminine tanks).

According to ED in 2012 (which I'd never use as a reliable source but whatever), Eddie was 56 then - so he's nearly 70 now. Also according to the leaked Mod Jabberings posts, he knew enough to know about Usenet and MAC addresses. In fact, he once considered trying to get MAC addresses (the same way he has IP addresses) but gave up on it.

The whole joke about this character is that he's literally a man who got his brain dumped into a female body because the boss of the organization sprung it on the research team at the last second. He doesn't want his male body back because he's transitioning to anything, he wants it back because it is HIS ACTUAL BODY. He gets mad when he gets called a woman because he's NOT ONE. That's the joke.

Let me guess. Depending on how bitchy the mods feel, one of two things will happen.

Either the mods will be nice and ask the person to make a proper case (and give them a second shot), or they will simply permaban the user for "ignoring mod instructions" and act like nothing happened.

Precedent (and Fighteer) dictates the latter is most likely to happen, but I wonder if any of the newer mods will show them leniency and not just say "dyslexia isn't a get-out-of-jail free card."

Edit: Actually, I just missed Synchronicity (discount Jannie), saying "Keep this up, or you get the boot." It's looking more like a permaban will happen.
