Only thing I really get out of this is that TV Tropes has a secret fetish of big, hairy women that like to live their lives as real women, but forget that they will never ever be women

Pretty much like this:

Do any of you ever get the feeling that TVT has the general, unwritten, unspoken concensus that "EVERYTHING I DON'T LIKE IS UNREALISTIC".

I've recently gone back to reading pages where fanfiction has "realistic outcomes", as well as "deconstructive" fanfiction, and what I've noticed is that there's this feel that many of their examples are biased in their favor, or when something is disagreeable to them, they jaunt it in a negative light.

Just to name a good example for my point. There shouldn't be any doubt, nor bones about how much they have a pathological hatred for authority. Especially the military. All of us should know this, right?

So, why do you think they have such a unanimous hard-on for Naruto fanfiction where Konoha; A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP, goes out of its way to "HuRr dUrR! Naruto was abused by villagers. Ninja army go full fascist on powerless civilians!"?

Because they see themselves as Naruto. Damaged kids who think they've got it bad and have a bone to pick with the people they don't like. So, they have no problem when they fantasize about a COUNTRY'S MILITARY FORCE hammering down on powerless; I repeat, POWERLESS, civilians who don't actually have any real power in the model of government they live under. Kind of anathema to their supposedly "anti-authoritarian" bullshit. :story:

"Oh, but they're all bullies!" Yeah, the kind they wish they could be. Instead, they want daddy government to crack down on that one kid in their school who might have called them a mean word.

When autists hear a word that triggers them, they immediately think the subject of topic is them. That's how exceptional they can be.
