It's not even a let's play, it's an extremely autistic autobiography with insane comparisons like how the showing of Mario 3 in the Wizard is like 9/11 or JFK's death.

You'd think he'd compare the unveiling of Super Mario Bros. 3 in that movie to something more positive like say, I dunno, maybe the moon landings at least?

Also, I seriously can't look at the YMMV page for the franchise anymore without cringing, as it is filled to the brim with tropers gushing over how the whole thing is a trans allegory and how it always has been, along with claims that the Agents represent Transphobes, the Red Pill being like estradiol, and the Red Pill takers being those who realize that the world is wrong, and find a new role for themselves while discarding their society assigned roles, along with the fact that the first film was released on Trans Awareness Day.

I love that everyone who ever has done a read through of his book or review of it that I can find on youtube, pretty much everyone comes away thinking Bob comes across like a pathetic nutjob.

Not surprised since while Pibby is sorta interesting, the "KIDS CARTOONS CAN BE SUPER SCARY" type of horror attracts the dumbest of autists.

I kind of get what he's going for. He's using a metaphor to say the Console Wars and the reveal of Super Mario Bros 3 were big moments in his life. Of course it comes off as incredibly pathetic because the big important moments of his childhood were watching a commercial for Nintendo products disguised as a movie and arguing with other kids over which cartoon character was better. The autistic need to overshare the sadder points of his life shows that he really thinks living a lonely life, pretty much isolated from his family and whose only escape is poorly playing a childrens game while drinking is normal. It would be a tragedy if it weren't being written by MovieBob.

Real heartwarming that the only reason a big corporation panders to your views is because they think you're a moron who will open your wallet the minute they put a POC on screen. Disney donating to the Florida politicians behind the "Don't say Gay" bill then doing a 180 when they got caught should tell you that they would drop all these views the minute it became unprofitable. Its such an abusive mentality to think someone being greedy and selfish is somehow improving your life.
