I remember a friend of mine once intoned that Something Awful had been indirectly responsible for TVTropes becoming infinitely worse than it used to be. Something about some bullshit they pulled with the admins. Does anyone know the veracity of this? I'm interested in knowing if it's true or not.

I thought if anything they might have slightly improved it by forcing them to at least pretend to get rid of the pedos and the worst of the powerleveling freaks and fetishists.
 
Apparently there are tropers who consider sesame street of all fucking things to be nightmare fuel. Who the fuck gets scared by that?? Are they all four years old???

Thing is, there are some legit nightmare inducing things on there. The problem is that those are completely overshadowed by stupid things from shows like MLP that might scare a small kid. But not a grown adult, as most of these people are supposed to be.
