Huh? That's as regular whale as it gets, what did they mean from that?
"Teach your kids sex education as early as possible or they'll knock each other up during recess" I assume
Kodomo no Kodomo is officially right up there with Boku no Pico as THE MOST DISTURBING MANGA EVER!

I bet you anything, that the person who wrote this TVTropes article, secretly popped a boner when reading that trash.

Excuse me, I now need to wash my brain out with soap.
It's a pretty short manga. Also, it... would have been a hell of a lot worse. A LOT worse.

I mean, we're talking really depressing shit considering how a lot of child and teenage pregnancies go. I'm actually surprised the girl wasn't disowned and forced to live in foster care, which is the best possible thing that could have happened.

Iirc a main criticism I've seen of the manga is that it treats the whole thing like some cutesy uplifting coming of age story

Oh really? There is a damn good reason why smart, civilized individuals frown upon underage parents. Kids cannot consent, therefore, they cannot raise kids.

Which makes the manga so absurd. When I was skimming through it, it felt strange to me how almost none of them had realistic reactions.

Considering how Japanese society is, the manga downplayed just how much the kids and their families would have been completely fucked over something this scandalous. It instead made the entire thing "wholesome".

Also, it seemed to make the notion of child pregnancy "wonderful" (:cryblood::c:heart-empty::melchett:).

It has a 5 star rating in mangakakalot, and as you'd expect, every pedofag online flocks to it like bait.

At the very end, everyone's like, "lol, so that happened" and acts like it wasn't such a big deal, and with a "everyone is together and happy" panel.

Yeah, it's pretty fucked.

God these people are boring; they exist to do nothing but make shit as dull and boring as real life.
These people are miserable, and deserve to be.
More like no escape FROM these people ever. They really can’t see they’re no different from the conservative moral guardians & media watchdogs of the 2000s like Jack Thompson (whom many of them would’ve ironically rallied against).
But if he never died, we'd have to deal with a lot less retardation.
If he never died, someone else probably would’ve and we’d still be in the same situation. This kind of shit always happens when a person of colour is killed regardless of context (the only exception being when it’s another person of colour doing the killing).

He's been doing it on and off. Good thing that nobody cares about cybersecurity, though.
I find it just shows what a retard he is. Since people can easily doxx his ass. But I guess it really shows what a nobody he is that nobody as done it.

I did a quick Google search of this manga and after skimming through the first few results, I can say that it's not a eroge or anything of that sort (thankfully), but it's still kind of fucked in that the subject matter is treated pretty lightly. I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt, maybe this was supposed to be some sort of commentary or cautionary tale, but it does not seem to be the case. It could have been much worse, though.

I also found that it also has a live action adaptation, which I'm not completely sure if it changes details from the manga, so I won't say much on it.

I'm back! What'd I miss?
