Jumped to tvtropes to read about Taxi Driver. Jesus christ, don't know how recent it is but people there try to argue pimps who fuck and prostitute children aren't as evil as abusive parents. My guess is that because the protagonist isn't politically correct then his targets "must" be in the right.
