The thing about Vader breath is that while it's supposed to be scary, it's ultimately just a reminder that under all that gothic armor, he's just a sickly old man clinging to life. It's not cool that he breathes like that, it shows how far he's fallen and how all the power of the Dark Side ultimately just makes you a freak.

Both can be true. It may be another sign of Vader's miserable state for himself and audiences, but it is also horrifying to hear if you're on the receiving end of his wrath. Rogue One's Hallway Scene really showed that off well. Hearing that distinctive breathing from the darkness before seeing the red lightsaber truly is pure terror for the average rebel.

I don't even know if those shorts are much better than the minidress Green used to wear, or the miniskirt she wore as Leaf in FRLG. They might even be smaller than Hilda's short shorts, and Hilda's canonically 16 compared to the possibly-11 Green.
