Why would all those people complaining about Faye think her outfit is a disappointment?

I just can't possibly understand why those MAGA CHUDS could possibly think that a femme fatale should look alluring, those bastards!

I'm honestly liking how TV Tropes is losing its relevancy in popular culture. It's so far turned away anyone with an actual sex drive, any hardcore fans of series who can think more than just about what its tropeshit dictionary defines, actual well intentioned and behaved users who don't like the power plays, double standards, and hierarchy abuse, and anyone who isn't a TGWTG fan.

Don't get me wrong, Wikia is a massive smarmy douchebag scumheap, but there are still pockets of places where the userbase aren't fucking creeps or constipated sticklers. TV Tropes though, that place is like Fahrenheit 451.

Tropers still have sex drives, it just shows up in nasty, gross ways.

Looking at the current state of TVT, a few certain users can be categorized in certain ways.
  1. Newbies who are too new to the internet.
  2. Gachafags who have a massive hardon towards Arknights, Fate: Grand Order or Genshin Impact (seriously, look at their threads, its almost always active).
  3. Forum game users who never participate in the pagemaking and are too busy making each other play word games.
  4. Tumblr refugees who have no idea about the website's past.
  5. Politically-infused users who want to argue in the forums or cause edit wars and get banned.
  6. Tropes Pantheon users who have no good use for their limited time on the internet.
  7. Pedophiles, trannies and closet gay people.
  8. And Linkara fans.

9. Literal retards who bitch about Nick Jr shows to anyone who will "listen"
10. People who want Seth MacFarlane and SpongeBob writers dead.

Are there actually any redeeming factors for TV tropes nowadays?
As someone who doesn’t like horror games, I will occasionally use it to see if a game I’m considering is secretly a horror game - DDLC, for example - but I admit that’s an uncommon use case.
It's not relevant anymore. For a while, people like Lindsay Ellis and Harris Brewis were quoting tropes in their reviews. That all stopped.
When was Lindsay Ellis ever relevant???
Well, the example in question comes from people whining about it on Reddit or something.
Austin Walker’s first article on Giant Bomb was a 3 page diatribe about how racist Witcher 3 was for not having black people. That was when I knew GB was as dead as Ryan Davis.

ironically, I did not give 2 shits about Gamergate, but as a huge fan of the Witcher novels, that article was the thing that wound up pushing me firmly into the anti-SJW camp.

The dogs bark but the caravan has moved on.

Most of those kids were born before the conflict.
Next page is when some bleeding heart article points out that an economic sanction will cause the children of Afghanistan to starve and the regulars are mildly agreeing to it.

It isn't exactly entertaining, but it's mostly an example of where the world is headed, nowadays.
