"The most famous historical lesbian". Nice bisexual erasure, assholes. :story:
The funny part is that Sappho as a figure of homosexuality is entirely a modern fabrication. The Greeks considered her work to be lewd but entirely heterosexual, and people openly dismissed accusations of her homosexuality as ridiculous lies by her critics until fairly recently historically.

Found this gem on the Damn You Muscle Memory page
For a devoted player of TimeSplitters 1 and 2, picking up Mercenaries 1 or 2 is especially painful. TimeSplitters uses R2 for main fire, while Mercenaries uses R1 to fire and R2 is change weapon. TimeSplitters is an FPS, and Mercenaries is a TPS, so there's no problem... Until the first Sniping Mission, because using the rifle switches to a first-person camera.
99.9% of third-person shooters switch you to a first-person POV when using the sniper rifle. Why would it be a problem with specifically those two games? I mean, it would make sense if you were talking about two games from the same series or the same developer, but Timesplitters and Mercenaries have absolutely nothing connecting them beyond "You have guns and you shoot things".

Not one day has passed, and it's already another stupid trope making the front page.

YOU SEE, THEY'RE THE SAME PERSON BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME VOICE ACTOR EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T LOOK OR SOUND THE LEAST BIT ALIKE.
That's common in a lot of WMG pages. It's always crack-pot theories of "Character shares traits with another character despite being from a completely different franchise, therefor they must be the same character" its like that Ness is Sans 'theory' as well.

Its probably shitposting or autists who love to think that everything fictional is connected in some way a la Chris Chan or coping that their favorite character or franchise is irrelevant so they're latching onto another franchise and claiming they're the same or share a character as a cope.

Did they finally purge all the 'literally every single fictional character is a Time Lord' BS from the WMG pages?

Since when was The Filth "highly regarded"? The only people who even know about it are the most hardcore comics buffs. This whole post reeks of "REEEEEE STOP JUDGING JAPAN YOU BAKA GAIJINS!"

Confused Matthew deconstructed Spirited Away as obscurantist trash with zero plot and weak characters with stilted dialogue in a world not well defined. "Like all other anime ever made."

What a fucking moron. He accused a fairy tale of muddying its storytelling, and then made a blanket statement that is horribly wrong wow

I checked his TV Tropes page to see if anything changed since then (the comment was posted in 2011), and it mentions that he removed most of the reviews he made from 2011 to 2015, where he was playing a character instead of actually revealing his thoughts. He was basically a troll.
