Quite true.

God's law was pretty big on not eating anything gross, washing frequently, not engaging in unsafe sexual practices, not letting the dead go without proper burial, and other rather enlightened concepts of hygiene, which, for a period when they had literal deities dedicated to beetles that crawled around in shit and where being a sick fuck was considered an act of devotion to certain gods, was a pretty forward thinking set of concepts.

However, given the same people who complain about the Bible being unprogressive are likely the same people who live like pigs IRL (and a lot of tropers outright admit to being NEETs), no wonder that goes unmentioned.
An interesting theory I've seen is that the restrictions on pigs and pork is not just because of trichinosis, but because pigs are omnivorous and will eat the same things humans will; making them competition, in a way. In contrast, sheep, goats, cattle, even chickens are economically a better choice for animal husbandry and agriculture -- most of those eat things we can't and can supply resources that don't require killing the animal (wool, milk, eggs).

Pigs are also cannibals. If you have a pig with a prolapsed anus, you need to get it back in before other pigs eat the prolapsed anus.

I think the mods know about the Metokur page, since they gave him an Anvils page.

There was a time when I use to religious read the TV Tropes forum.

Then I started realizing how stupid and oddly specific most of their "tropes" were. I didn't know until now that they actually had a forum and yikes.

not gonna lie the third entry about Linkara actually got a chuckle out of me

Considering Fighteer's online persona, I would absolutely not be surprised if his kid was neglected or abused in some way. (Awaiting Mad on the Internet ratings)

Interesting apparently a novel about two stoners in late 60's hippie culture are not woke enough because they seem casual about a gay man getting beat up by drunk cowboys.Something tells me today two stoners would not be that much more 'woke' if they saw the exact same scenario play out.
