When your take is so bad someone in your hugbox calls it out and doesn’t get massively downvoted for it:

People really are still bleating about Obama being a Muslim in 2020, huh.
There are people who still believe he was really "born" in Kenya, go figure.
what does t_d get from identity politicing by saying "look we got a black guy, a fag and a woman now donate to their patreons"

There’s no fucking option for a negative response, lol. Even Trump’s support polls are an echo chamber.

Reminder that Trump himself propagated the Obama birther conspiracy theory until his campaign, when he realized it was a bad look and pretended that he always believed Obama was a born US citizen.
That was originally something brought out by the Hilary campaign. Obama has a time machine allowing him to place his own birth announcement in the Honolulu newspapers.

Ironically, some of the earliest proponents of the birther theory were Hillary supporters, most prominently now-disbarred birther lawyer Philip J. Berg. They have more in common than either of their supporters think.

also apparently ignoring the presidents who helped African Americans get civil rights ("B-BUT LBJ WAS A LIBTARD WHO WANTED BLACK VOTES") despite the fact that Lincoln made the Civil War about Slavery for political convenience
This is a dumb take. Lincoln went through so much work, drafting, editing, and re-editing, and consulting with the best practicing attorneys and legal academics in the U.S., to make sure that the messaging was absolutely clear and unambiguous in both spoken word, and print. The use of wartime powers was authorized because the secessionists were illegally occupying U.S. property, and preventing the appropriate governmental operation of all departments of the confederate states (except proper execution of the post offices). By the time the US people were well and truly informed however, assault of fort Sumter had already happened and the war was already ongoing as a consequence.

Lincoln's consistent delivery of the same nuanced message seems to have mostly been lost to the ages since moralistic soundbites from the annointed saint Lincoln are easier and more useful to sell to the public at large, but Lincoln made the war's foundation about slavery less than just about any human being alive.

Lincoln was a lawyer by training, and knew anything he did had to pass any legal test to having lasting consequences, and he was very careful to place anything he did on as much legal bedrock as possible in case it was challenged later.

He deliberately avoided emancipation until he could find a legal way to justify it as a war measure consistent with his powers as commander in chief and deliberately limited it to states in rebellion to make sure he did not exceed the scope of his legal reach, all areas under Union control were excepted, including rebel areas under control of Union troops at the time he made the policy official.
