Trump is about to start dropping but it won't be because some random person made a comment about Muslims at a rally, it will be because of his shot at Carly Fiorina the other day.

It will be because being a bloviating ignoramus on the Internet doesn't translate to being a convincing speaker when in reality talking with adults.

The perfect example of a Trump supporter who asked that question showed how bad he is at fielding questions. But none of his supporters care about that. If anything, they might be disappointed he didn't suggest setting up death camps.

If I didn't know better, I'd think so, too. As far as crazy Glenn Beck conspiracy theories go, this one is at least mildly plausible.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump really was in it to be a spoiler of some sort. I'm more of the belief that he's supposed to make the rest of the GOP look more moderate in comparison to him though.

No its not plausible. A trap plented for big business? Maybe. Against the tea party and inolving liberals ? The illuminati would be more credible.

If anything, he looks more moderate in comparison to them. Discounting his nonsense over building The Great Wall of the Rio Grande Valley, he's in favor of a single-payer healthcare system and a progressive taxation policy. It's not that the rest of the contenders are more moderate, it's that they're more coherent.

He's going to help them win over the Hispanics. Or at least they think he will. The GOP has a pretty serious problem with blue state electoral college votes and no amount of Trump theatrics making them look less racist will help.

Hell, this latest Glenn Beck theory was something I was speculating to be true when this whole farce got started. I thought Trump might be running as a favor to Hillary to do as much damage as possible to her opponents before the election, which he's already succeeded at doing for Perry and Bush and the national perception of Republicans as a whole.

Now I just think the whole thing's motivated by ego, and Trump really is that much of an asshole.

This wouldn't be so bad if Trump's strongest support wasn't currently among Liberal and Moderate Republicans as well as Independents. It's the same strategy Nixon and Clinton* used to win, and their moderate politics didn't help much to counter their ego and greed and paranoia.

Though to be fair, much as I don't want another President as corrupt or gluttonous as Nixon or Clinton, I'd take both of them in a heartbeat over Trump.

* I know both, especially Clinton, are remembered much more fondly in modern times. But go back and look at what they did in motivation for nothing but their own self interest: Prostituting public property. Using military force for no reason other than to save their own skin. Using hired thugs to spy and to bully those who stand against them. Are those the kind of traits you want in a President?

Glenn Beck has come up with another wild conspiracy theory, this time he's speculating that Donald Trump is a plant by big business to discredit the Tea Party.

The idea that they are threatening to big business is one of the Tea Party's most hilarious beliefs

Most people appear moderate if you discount all their extremist policies

around here its fun to tune into the local radio and hear rush limbaugh get all bent out of shape about the meanie liberals and how Trump Did Nothing Wrong 2015. and i think thats just super. this fucking guy legitimately thinks a meme candidate is fit to run a country when he cant even run his own bank account.

One of the amusing thing about conservatives is that on the one hand they fetishise "toughness" and "strength", but they whine endlessly about the most mild rebukes, comparing them to hate crimes and claiming they violate their rights. For all that conservatives like to rail against 'political correctness' they are just as quick to declare themselves victims as the worst Tumblrina.

It's almost like a front. Right now, being a victim of something is HOT.

How does this, even happen as a joke, in any country? I simply cannot fathom something like this happening in the UK and not just because right-wing politics is hounded into oblivion by the media. It's just not what we do.

I mean if this guy is just running to "increase his profile", using the election of your leader as a self-promotion tool, what does that say about the state of things?

Not like it matters, much. The President is just a face, while the muscle and heart is Congress.

Because the American public would storm the gates of the whitehouse before allowing a Clinton v Bush ticket for 2016.

Bernie v Trump is way more interesting.
