I'm only half kidding here..
Politics has always been considered somewhat of a joke. Trump may prove it actually
is a joke. He's just so delightfully insane, and disgustingly refreshing. I think people just might end up supporting him because they're curious to see what he'll do.
With most political candidates you're pretty much guaranteed predictable outcomes. They might differ on one or two minor things, but for the most part they're going to be the same, no matter which one ends up in office. They won't change anything. They're dependent on votes and public opinion, and above all, they'll be politicians, constantly dodging hard questions and avoiding real issues.
The last few elections we've had have been people picking the safe option. Bush, Obama, in the end it's about the same. No matter what you think about Trump, you can't deny that he'll be
different.
The one thing about Trump is that he's definitely not a politician. He says what he wants to say, and is unapologetic about it to the point of rudeness. We can't predict him. If he gets elected, there's just no telling what the outcome will be. He's a complete wild-card. He's just as likely to run this country into the ground as he is to lead us into a golden age. It's wonderfully chaotic.
I can only hope he appoints a dog to the supreme court.
