Keep an eye on Rubio, if he somehow manages to make it past trump into second things could get interesting.

Donald trump would implode. His ego wouldn't be able to cope.

Gilmore's up to 10 (woohoo). Just decided to get the candidates organized by current votes in order to see how people are doing better. In order, the candidates are Cruz, Trump, Rubio, Carson, Paul, Bush, Fiorina, Kasich, Huckabee, Christie, Santorum, and Gilmore.

I'm not at all surprised. The Iowa caucus system is a huge disadvantage to casual voters that Trump appeals to, plus he isn't a big hit with evangelicals who disproportionately influence the IA caucus. I would avoid making any kind of extrapolation based on tonight's results; remember that IA is kind of an extreme outlier in American politics, and guys like Huckabee and Santorum won it in 2008 and 2012.

oh I'm not concerned about this in the long run BUT Tump's ego would fucking implode if he came third.

That would be very funny.

Still it puts a dent in all the various polls that had Trump ahead by 5-10 points of Cruz and the pundits that said Trump WOULD win. It shows Trump is beatable.

Slightly off topic but sanders is only 7 delegates off Hillary Clintons
