I knew a guy who said that about Bush 2 getting a second term, and he actually did go through all the bullshit and moved to Canada. Granted, he got there about thirty seconds before #fukobeme got elected but I'll give the guy credit, he really did it.

Mainly because I am used to a non American system that would get butchered under Obama.

My country has never had Sales Tax in its existence, though this did change this year...
 
Hillary Clinton's opened up a dangerous can of worms by attacking Trump on sexism. Now Trump is going after Bill Clinton for his past actions, and he hasn't even been pushing that hard.

I've been afraid for awhile this would happen. Trump isn't gonna rally Hillary supporters to his side by, rightly for once, pointing out that Hillary Clinton is a complete fraud and her husband is a disgusting sexual predator. But he might just stir up enough disgust among people who would otherwise vote for Hillary to just not bother turning up for the election.

As far as political concerns, this means little. Even as far as personal concerns, it also means little. Trump and Clinton are by significant margins the most apolitical and greedy of the candidates running for either party. But it paints a nasty picture for the future of our country that such a race for 2016 actually looks possible. The election of either of these reptiles would do irreparable damage to the nation.

I was under the impression that the Lib-Dems were reduced to basically nothing in the last election.

This could be a chance for the independents to shine, but the problem is these guys have such a hold on the media and people are scared to vote otherwise. (They've been so convinced that going outside the big two is a "wasted vote".

Trump and Sanders have for all intents and purposes been running third party candidacies within the big two. My hope is that Sanders can sieze this moment as his chance to beat Hillary, but I don't wanna get my hopes up after how awful the last half-year has been.

Yeah, they were massively reduced, but historically speaking they've consistently had a non-trivial number of seats.

Seriously you guys are buying a trillion dollar useless fighter plane that is already obsolete and is only designed to make money to Lockheed Martin.

The thing is I don't think we can back out of it since other countries were part of the project also.

I heard someone mention that one F35 blew up when struck by lightning. If that's the case then that's really fucking sad on two accounts. One, a low end Cessna can survive a lightning strike as far as I know. I think it's probably a regulation since plane's are far more likely to get struck by lightning than most things. Second off, the plane's goddamn nickname is "Lightning".

The F-35 has stronger bipartisan support than almost anything else in the nation. Right up there with all the other bloated, useless MIC vanity projects.

That's the sick joke of the Military Industrial Complex. We aren't even safer because of it.

Given that Sanders wasn't even a Democrat until it became a technical requirement, you could very well argue that he is explicitly running a third party campaign.

This is always the easiest rejoinder against people who claim that bipartisan cooperation is the way forward for America - a quick review of the things that the two parties can agree on shows that bipartisanship is more of a problem than a solution.
 
Trump is definitely running a third party campaign, reminds me of a guy in 1979 named Ronald Reagan.

Reagan was the Republican Governor of California, head of the SAG, and served in the military in what capacity he could even though he was as blind as a 14-year-old dog with cataracts. That's over 20 years in public service and four election wins.

Trump has never been involved in any sort of election, even in business. Comparing him to Reagan, or even Schwartzenegger, is ludicrous.
