Tribal Hunter is a game developed by Melonsoda Soft that released a few days ago as of writing, here is a trailer to give you an idea of what its about.

Some gameplay screenshots:

While a child could understandably play this and not have a clue what the deeper undertones are, to an adult it seems quite obvious what this is trying to be.

There may be some more information on the developer, but I don't know if there is at this time. May update this post if any is found.

Most people are probably here from Sseth's video.

Let me describe my reaction to this. First I was like, "WTF". Surprise. Then "Ewww." Disgust. Then "..." Or basically shutting down and just accepting that this is someone's fetish.
The closest analog I have to something like this is "Mad Gods". It overloads you on a sensory level to the point where you block out external stimuli and don't really process what's happening on screen. You just kind of accept it, hoping it's over.

And before you say "This is an over-reaction to the furry inflation game." It's the subtext of the game. Past the cutesy graphics designed to hook young people into furry subculture, there's the twisted logic of a furry who thinks creating this was a good idea. That logic gave me a headache because trying to understand why this fetish is appealing to this furry is mentally straining, just like Mad Gods.

one thing i have to say, the video is the best promotion of an VPN i have ever seen.

I despise everything the game represents but I concede that it has a fascinating gameplay loop, where your character's size determines his abilities and you need to resize to solve puzzles. Each size increment provides new bonuses or penalties that you need to work around to overcome the problem.

I think if you replace the furry fetish shit, say with some Katamari Damacy nonsense or robots with modular parts, it might even become a game I wouldn't hate out of principle.

Did some digging into the developers, on their Youtube channel they showed off an avatar from the game made for VRchat which has everything you would expect from this bunch:

The channel also links back to a Twitter account that no longer exists:

One of the places you can acquire the avatar, BOOTH, features a link to to the Twitter of a dev, Min or @SodaSorbet who judging by their tweets appears to be Korean.

Some of the people they are following:

Its quite the assortment of fat furry fans or "Balloonies" as they call themselves (?)

Played a bit of the game myself; like @Rear Admiral Butthole said above, the gameplay loop is solid, but the fact that the game is blatantly fetishistic makes me uncomfortable. The cutesy-poo art style and the general humor does remind me of a variety of cartoons back in the day, but the fact that this game is basically made to cater to a bunch of furries pounding themselves off in a dark corner somewhere, coupled with the fact that you can see some notable furries' fursonas in-game nonetheless, ends up killing a lot of the charm the game otherwise would've had.

The context is what kills the game; chubby and inflation gags have been a staple of cartoons since forever, but with the context of a bunch of freaks behind the code, it just seems wrong. The game itself is a bit cleaner than most inflation/feederism/stuffing stuff you see - there's no tits or dicks hanging out everywhere, no slob or bodily fluids, etc. - but again, it reminds me of that "Those that don't know/Those that know" meme; the gameplay is good, but the devs behind the game are weird as shit.

Seriously, what's the deal with inflation/feederism/stuffing? Why is it so popular with furries? What's the appeal? Legit asking, here.

Double post here, but: I've done some more digging into the game, found out that the devs have apparently still been updating the game, adding in new bosses, etc. Apparently, we might be seeing more stuff for the game as future, including the possibility of future DLC. Not quite sure how to feel about that; as stated before, on one hand, it's a genuinely fun platformer that has a fun gameplay loop, but on the other hand, it's a blatant furry fetish game that has a bunch of freaks behind the scenes pounding themselves on to morbidly obese people.

That Sseth guy gives out a fairly accurate review of the game; if you can get past the fetishistic aspects of it, then it's a solid game, but knowing about the devs and the many, many different furries in the game - the goat shopkeeper is the fursona of a real-world Antifa member, for instance - it just reminds me of the grooming shit that the furries love to do, like what @ShoFuKan mentioned earlier. Overall, fun game that's not overly sexual on the surface, but with really shitty devs and REALLY disturbing subtext.
