I made a Xeet acc recently to follow closely a personal cow. Yes, it still into gender bullshit no matter where you are in the autism political spectrum. I got bored by it quickly when everything in my timeline are just quote retweet faggots slapfighting.

Twitter is infinitely better to use as a person sick of gender woo. You won't get banned for saying "retarded" or "tranny". You will however, allegedly, get a warning for using "cissy".
The bots are a rampant problem however. I haven't tried any twitter alternative so I cannot vouch for those being better than Musk-owned twitter.

That's not to say twitter is good now. It's still bullshit. You just aren't muzzled against tranny nonsense.

For anything political/controversial, twitter is garbage. People don't converse, they block. And if you get too many blocks your account gets shadowbanned visibility filtered.

If you only ever use it to follow people it seems fine. But engaging is a waste of time.

Someone went through the code. Accounts have a reputation and one block cancels out a few hundred likes. Elon himself remarked at one point that block lists presented a significant challenge because of how the algorithm works. (He was mad because he was on a lot of those block lists!)

Nah, it’s unusable. You are now “pushed” dire content by accounts that you don’t follow, and nobody you do follow retweeted. 100% of the time it’s views that you can imagine musk agreeing with.
A ton of it is automated engagement farming too, like AI accounts replying to any authentic post with irrelevant bullshit.

As for the actual conversation on there, it is still possible between mutuals, but if you interact with a big account or comment on anything trending, you might as well piss into the wind unless you’re paying the $8 a month, and fuck that.

That's pretty cool that a big chunk of it was written in Scala.

I always got the impression that Twitter had some interesting engineering in the form of a handful of smart people. And then the rest of the company was horribly incompetent fluff. Like pajeets who'd just roll out untested code to production, no questions asked.

It's why Elon was able to legit just fire 80% of the company without any hiccups.
