A transgender woman describes his/her struggles through life with a new word she has coined: Transilience, or trans-resilience.

It's painful to listen to. Her voice is screeching, an abomination of medical science.

Fuck you all, i'm done. Just fuck it, i'm getting the bleach and shotglasses.

What.
The.
FUCK.
I don't want to, but my curiousity is getting the better of me. Should I?

You shouldn't. But you must.
Its like an alcoholic Penn Jillette on estrogen in drag.

I thought this exact same thing!

Also: 40 minutes!?! Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!

I noticed that there are no comments on the video.

I think this person's obsession with labels (see: first thirty seconds of the video) is a bit silly, but her story is nothing to laugh at. If you've known anyone who grew up gay in the 80's and/or in a small town, you'll find they probably have similar struggles.
My PC interpretation aside, this person is not really exhibiting any ostensible lolcow behavior.

Quite frankly, I get sick of transexuals bitching constantly. Sorry I called you "He" by accident, but no matter how much you try, you still look like a guy in drag.

To be completely fair, it's a legit complaint for trans people. Imagine if everywhere you went, people saw you as the opposite sex, and no matter what you did, you were the opposite sex to everyone. Not an enticing proposition. The whole "guy in drag" look is far from the way they dream of presenting and is illustrative of the rather primitive (yet accepted and efficacious) form of therapy transitioning is.

Pretty much this ^

Being misgendered is pretty hurtful to a trans-person. Probably even more for them than for cisgendered people, since they've already got the body dysphoria and stuff. The whole "no matter how hard you try, you still look like a guy in drag" argument is a rather insensitive thing to say considering the psychological state of many of them. It might not seem like much to you, but to them: that kind of stuff can cut pretty deep, depending on how the person deals with body dysphoria.

It can't really be helped. Gender confusion and depression are personal mental afflictions. It only applies to you. Other people may try to better condition what they say to make you happy, but not everyone will and not everyone is going to be fully aware of what you expect.

Sure it sucks. I wish everyone could be exactly what they want to be. But, please, don't get mad and guilt trip me if I don't think you're a pretty girl.

Started watching.

"as a 6'6, 350lb , non passing queer, feminist, economically challenged, transgender woman"

Stopped watching.

This exactly. For the record, I would never try to hurt a person's feelings.

I'm not talking about that though. I'm talking about the "I know you're transgendered, but I'm still going to intentionally misgender you because to me you're just a man in drag" mentality. It just seems a little bit intolerant and uncalled for to me.

I'm not saying bradsternum is guilty of that, and what I said was more general than directed at anyone in specific. Accidently making a mistake and apologizing for it is one thing, and I don't think someone deserves to be bitched at for it, even if it is a rather unfortunate incident. After all, mistakes do happen. I'm really talking about the people that are aware of the situation, but still persist for no real reason other than not finding them attractive/feminine enough.
