I am neither a troon nor a progressive, but when it comes to transgender people playing video games, there does seem to be a distinctly different selection when it comes to the games they like and like to play, or gravitate toward. Now we all know there's a whole pile of itch.io pile of shovelware that caters to them, but that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the specific types of games that trannies play, independent of themes or not.
For example, Nintendo games seem to be a favorite, yet they don't cater to trannies. Pokémon maybe if you play as the girl (and let's face, most of the last 20 years ago the boy character looks kind of gay himself, so moot point). There's also the issue of other games that do have LGBT themes like Stellaris...and a bunch of indie games...and sometimes the "modern audience" AAA game...and some overlaps with the zoomer demographic.
But if you've been in the video game community for the last ten years, patterns emerge, just like how weeb anime, troon anime, and normie-tier anime are all wildly different. I know there's something to it.
