Went insane trying to look for figures for a Blades and Boulder custom. I don't think I'm very good at this. Digibashing is still an overwhelming concept for me. Hopefully I can save up for a 3D printer as well as find someone who knows what the hell he's doing. I am now dedicating myself to completing the Rescue Bots because I simply cannot let this slide any longer.

Got some old TF valentines for the screamlings and for some friends of mine. Hasbro continues to be frustrating.

i notice nothing unusual about tidal wave's legs, does it need to feel tight to snap?
No it doesn't actually going by what I've seen online. It's less about the tightness like trypticon was and more about the internals not having enough support or some shit though apparently messing with the spring can help. It's also fixable technically if it breaks but yeah the legs are just held inside by like tiny tabs on the ratchet or some shit that distort and break overtime. There's 3d printed and third party kits that you can stick in there to give it extra support too.

Not my photos but you can see what the internals look like here.

SS86 selects style Hot rod retool now counts as a masterpiece... interesting.

This is the only version that actually paints the middle orange on the backfin too, oddly.

Double posting because I found out there's some weird "online holiday event" exclusive third party megatron repaint into the universe megazarak colors. If I wasn't already doing the pay in 4 shit on the tidal wave by the same guys I'd likely be doing it on this guy since I missed out on the other releases.

It's a really small production run this time too, like numbered to only 400 type of shit. I mean my train optimus I got on discount from BBTS in 2016 was limited to 300 so that's not saying much but still!

Brawl is so chunky, goddamn. I was skeptical about the voyager price point like anyone else, but in hand he is beefy as hell. He also has an ankle tilt built into his torso, like damn they really tried to cook up something to replace the spring-loaded doors. Also helps that he's probably the best tankformer behind SS86 Megatron.

I'd check the combined mode ankle joint, on some copies the post that it pivots on is too large and causes stress marks, if you unscrew and disassemble the joint, you can sand the post down to fix it.

The small third party tidal waves are shipping out now. As for when BBTS will stock them though? who know...
Hope I got money in my account when they arrive because preorder

I can forgive it for having some weird fucky elements due to ti being made to fit inside titan tidal wave if you want to do that for some reason as wll as be a backpack for megatron.

Anyone read the new issue?

Not a good day for Trailbreaker fans...
This fucking comic is midway between being awesome and cringy "OC do not steal" garbage
I really like some stuff they're doing with it but it REALLY goes out of its way to make me want to stop reading it.
Carly's van turning into an 80's rock band robot that they were super enthusiastic about introducing was the first of this shit and they just keep doing it.

I haven't been keeping up with the skybound stuff but this panel looks very idw-y compared tot he other stuff I've seen of those comics. Very off. Anwyays is this supposed to be a powered up arcee or her borrowing magnus' power or something? Design is close to good but it having tiny magnus shoulders and then the backpack shaped like magnus shoulders makes it look gross to me. It'd be better to do something like armada megatron where there's like a cutout in the shoulder backpack and the actual shoulder sits under it like some kinda armor deal. Or just make it the shoulder armor like armada megatron sometimes does it's kinda inconsistent. That third party armada megatron i sent an image of earlier should showcase what I'm talking about.

At the very least, this Arcee's mantle pass was somewhat built up. It's far from perfect, but she's not coming off as a girl boss bitch and has a father-daughter like relationship with Magnus. But I'm just glad her upgraded form still keeps her looking like a robot woman. Not from a gooner perspective, but from 'oh thank God you guys know how to portray a real woman's physic after all'.

....I'm being too kind to this, aren't I?

Can't upload any fucking videos rn but my Amazon order for some assets for my TF shelf are late. Gonna go kill myself 8) I love it when they say it's coming today and then they pull the rug out from under you and say it's actually 4 more days!

OK, so something weird happened this morning on TFW2005. I get a message from their RSS feed that says this, but it's a dead link.
Hasbro To Kick-Off An Apology Tour Over 1986 Movie Trauma, New Toys Planned?

Hasbro is set to kick-off an ‘Apology Tour‘ over the trauma created by the events and deaths of Transformers: The Movie (1986). Posting at Tongal (a site for freelance work) states the following: “Produce some humorous and irreverent stop motion social videos for Hasbro to help kickoff an “Apology Tour” that playfully celebrates the trauma caused by significant character moments and deaths in the original 1986 animated Transformers movie.” Objective Summary: “If you’ve never seen the original 1986 film, The Transformers: The Movie, then buckle up, because you’re in for a real treat. Known for having a much darker tone » Continue Reading.

Seconding this and even then, it's nowhere near as bad as the trooned out arcee monstrosity that appeared in IDW. I wouldn't be worried so far about what Skybound is doing while still recognizing that certain things could definitely be better, there hasn't been any major assassination of personalities or shoehorned lgbt romance that no one asked for, (so far, but let's hope it stays that way.) Megatron executing Trailbreaker was brutal, but i do think it was exaggerated in some panels, like him biting Trailbreaker's wires and devouring his spark. But the expressions of the observing Decepticons was hilarious ranging from Skywarp's enthusiastic psychopathic glare, Swindle's disgust, Rumble's fear and the Constructicons not knowing how to react. But my favorite part was definitely the conversation with Thundercracker and Soundwave. I think it's almost assured that Thundercracker will interact with Starscream in the future and it will be interesting to see how they handle that.

Unrelated to my previous paragraph but i do like how Missing-Link Grimlock looks despite it being the branch of Takara figures i care about the least. Still haven't gotten the 86 Studio Series version and i debated if i should get Missing Link Grimlock. I already enjoy the MP Marvel Comics Grimlock i have and i anticipate they will eventually release a new MPG Grimlock or maybe even one in the Adamas Machina line, since Grimlock is one of those characters who will sell easily anyway

Arcee looks like she's going to turn into a boat. Could use a new Thunderblast figure. May repaint them as Boater.

How do you kill a dude with a personal force field?
Probably due to his evil version of the Matrix. Least the artwork is nicer. I can tell what's going on without having to squint The new van is growing on me but thats because I want a GMC Vandura Transformer.

Trailbreaker could also be conserving energy due to there being so little energy even after Fragg gave them a lot
That being said, they did a good job making it seem like Fragg was actually a villain but he's written better than Nick Fury.

If you're creative you exploit the forcefield in some way via like gravity shit or getting it to implode in on itself crushing the guy.

Probably due to his evil version of the Matrix.
I'm pretty sure it's a case like a lot of deaths in some versions of transformers where they just kill a dude regardless of his abilities and don't pay attention to it because I have no clue how the fuck a matrix would do shit for killing a dude with your bare hands.

It's not brought up that often and I have no clue if this is in megatron's skillset in skybound but if I remember shit right g1 megatron at least has like a blurb in one of his bios about his cannon pulling remotely from some black hole's energy and the only time that had any relevance ever was a one-off JP only thing where he used it to take over reverse convoy's body that the promo animation for it just framed it like it was Megatron in a disguise which would also make sense given it's g2 megatron that the figure is based on.

So when will that TFP season 3 Optimus figure drop that I posted awhile back? Anybody got guesses? If its by Iron Wariorr I'll just put it down for 10 years.
