Yeah, makes sense in that case, but others are just strange to me. I've noticed that new studio series soundwaves release date is next year, but there's already stop motions and people that were clearly given non-stolen copies of it for promotional reasons. There's been other cases that bug me but it's mainly the combo of jack shit happening in my life as I watch shit go slower across the board for me but faster and more productive for seemingly everything and everyone else, and then each thign I find out is a year or several yers later even if it's announced, present, and tangible. (sometimes leaked or released early too in some regions). I don't think I can properly describe exactly my feelings here in a normal way with my current state of semi-awakeness.

I noticed today (technically yesterday but the prices are still the same) that legacy Bludgeon and Nova Prime are available at MSRP on amazon again. Been tight on money and this'll cut into my spending plans for the next week or so but I ordered a bludgeon because fuck the people who want 50-70 for a non-exclusive repaint that's early batches had weird fungus on the gun barrels.
(hoping the one I got isn't a fungal copy).
I'll likely try getting one of those upgrade kits for bludgeon that alters his look to be even more samurai-ish sometime.

I've seen some pics with this kit where someone stripped off the paint from the legs somehow without damaging anything and I wish I had the capacity to pull shit like that because it looked clean as hell with fully light orange legs, though I'd likely add back some color detail.

If I had the money to I'd have gotten a Nova prime or 2 for custom projects that'd involve the inner robot but once again those things are over 50 dollars so that's a no go. I'm fine with my one copy of him, pairs well with the fallen despite them being designs from completely different media and not really being related outside of being primes. I just realized I never took a photo of the two together, maybe someday.

IIRC it was caused by some kinda excess release agent. the amazon exclusive nacelle that came out around the same time was the main one affected by it but there's some reviews of bludgeon that also had the same isssue. Constantly rising prices really not showing extra quality for it really is something.

It seems like it mainly affected the Amazon exclusive figures, which generally seem to have terrible qc.

The amazon only ones I got from that exact wave didn't have that and it was only nacelle I mainly saw complaints about and then several non exclusives. I'd believe it though on the QC shit.

Closest related issue involving rot is how Several figures with soft plastic from the mid 2000s up to the late 2010s had some sort of chemical reaction that resulted in the plastic fucking melting overtime in a way that's like gold plastic syndrome where it made figures more fragile for no reason plus chemical burn melt marks. And that's only because it grew as an issue overtime rather than "suddenly brittle a year after release" like gold plastic syndrome.
 
Fucker came a day after I ordered him, on the actual estimated date for once too.

I can't fucking believe It took me a few years to come around to deciding to get him, but I'm glad to have this bastard, weird gimped wheels and all the rest of the tarn shit going on aside.

Might use the construct bots megatron tank barrel for his arm shield for a bit like I did with the shattered glass siege megatron. No guarantees.


I am once again going to point out how every voyager scale figure has been weirdly smaller and out of scale with the siege optimus and megatron which makes the third party ss86 megatron meant to go with siege and earthrise optimus even cooler to me beyond it basically just being a downscaled version of the 200 something dollar MP figure with thicker legs visually. Seriously even through he's a tiny bit shorter than megatron here it looks fucking great having figures that are supposed to be the taller guys be eye to eye like this instead of whatever the fuck they're doing with 86 prime and megatron.

also I think the megatron is slightly mistransformed but I can't slide his torso back, shit seems stuck.

EDIT: couldn't get things to focus the way I wanted to, but I also took a pic of my newest galvatron with the cannon barrel swapped for the OG kingdom one. Also yes he has the third party back pylon now. No i didn't pay full price for it. long story I will NOT be going into. Nothing illegal, just too obtuse and retarded to explain without revealing personal details.

The cannon from both the first release and this one look really good swapped around with each other. I took photos but none came out right. May try again later.

EDITx2: The part is now permanently scratched, long story that's just going to leave me nagry forever because everything in this fucking house just ends up this way now. I am not going to be able to find a color match for the paint the part was I 100% just know it and i'm fucking tired tot he point where I can't keep my eyes open or focus them. Hope you like streaks of gray exposed 3d printed resin! WE GOT LOAD OF EM! AHA! FUCK I HATE IT.
EDITX3: more awake now, just glad the figure itself didn't get broken. Irreplacable mystery purple color matched paint from chinamen that 3d printed the part aside.
