I see nothing wrong with those two. If they're in love and their union isn't harming someone else, who am I to judge.
They don't appear to be demanding a space in, say, a women's shelter or a dating app aimed at gay men unlike troons and pooners.

It's still ridiculously pretentious though. He's effeminate and she's butch. There is absolutely nothing unique or revolutionary about their relationship. It's a personality combination that is not overly common, but still very well documented across many cultures and history.

It's like a fourteen year old putting on black lipstick and a ratty vintage velvet dress and proclaiming themselves a trail blazing non conformist, while their mum is hides the photos of her teenage goth days so that her offspring's tender ego doesn't get bruised.

Now that I had time to think about it, I feel like this is just a grift for a combination of factors: 1. good 'ol oneupmanship; 2. zoomers' inherent need for social media validation/attention; 3. their need to be special and unique; and 4. to be part of the other letters in the LGBTQIAP+ expanded universe.

They're blatant beards for one another; but, as we know, being a stock butch lesbian and/or effeminate gay man is passé, so what's better than to larp as the next evolution in couple dynamics (though, as we know, even this isn't new)? They're a couple for TikTok updoots, through and through.

How am I so sure of this...?

1. They're a long distance couple; so they essentially they live their best gay lives separately and when they get together, it's pretty much content creation.

2. Both of them basically stated their aversion to opposite sex attraction. Then, how does sex look like in this dynamic? Unless the dude is getting barebacked (and buck broken... *sigh*) by the stud with a strap on, there isn't any. But then... that would also (convolutedly) circle us right back to gay.

I find it impossible to believe they are sexually attracted to one another. There's no way this flamboyant power bottom can even garner a semblance of an erection for her (though she is pretty ngl), regardless of how masculine she is presenting, especially when considering that he explicitly stated that as soon as he went to college he realized that he wasn't into women like that. I'll accept that they may be attracted to each other's "energy," but you have to remember that these are adults in their 20s - physically in the prime of their lives - and all that goes out the window when you're horny. The girl may be down for PIV sex, but the guy seems like, again, he couldn't even get hard at the prospect.

To be clear, "getting" the dynamic of this couple would mean that one would first have to understand and/or accept the premise of the letters that come after the L G & B (with an obvious frog leap right over the T) which I don't. They are all just various degrees of the same primary colors with a touch of personality disorders for shade. Because, again, it's not enough to be a standard gay anymore.

That said, are there couples where the guy may have more effeminate tendencies and the girl present a bit masculine? Sure there are. But this ain't it. Normally, it's more nuanced and subtle, and surely doesn't require experimentation (or still secretly residing) in Gaylund™. Thus, for all the above reasons, my verdict is that they are just two otherwise basic bitches who have to be extra for the clout.

This all seems very performative on their parts, they're obsessed with how "masculine" and "feminine" they are. Their relationship reads more as LARP than anything sincere, but I guess that's part and parcel for kids raised on the Internet and always performing for an audience.

Poly is for the lowest of the low shitlibs. The troons accept this because they have very little options and desire intimacy like everyone else, even if they have to include a 3rd. They convince themselves (like they convinced themselves they are trans) that more partners =better, not worse. These "relationships" tend to go as you'd expect, with the troon absolutely needing to broadcast to everyone how great it is to be poly, only for the arrangement to fall out after some months.

Tldr: yet another fetish they can't wait to act out/desperate attempt at relationship, fails miserably virtually 100% of the time.

I think it's because a huge majority of troons are narcissists. Narcissists tend to cheat and coerce their partners into polyamory/open relationships because they are social vampires who cannot live without constant attention and affection from others. One person is not enough--that person may have to go to work or school, or they have friends and family they regularly spend time with, and narcissists cannot stand people having a life outside of them. If they have multiple partners, they have multiple sources of attention and sexual gratification.
