Most vtubers are just people that play vidya with a mocap avatar, but these specific troon ones the thread's covering blatantly put the TRANS thing before everything else so you have facecams photos, all other shit associated with troon activity online. From what I've seen of the vtuber people, they'll on rare occasion do like a live camera feed thing but if it's for some kind of antics on their desk or some shit. The people covered in this thread seem to just view vtubing as some idealized self thing rather than just a pfp and username thing like most vtubers treat it, which makes the twitch thot-camgirl-but-tranny antics even more strange.

Also I am once again going to bring up the weird pattern of how every person that troons out has either a deep or "sports announcer" kind of voice before trooning and that for some weird reasoning their idea of "female voice" is either faux california accent or stingy from lazytown.

That's Nora Cat, and the first time was a legitimate mistake, but as a superchad and not a troon he leaned into it and now BOTH identities are successful, though I forgot what his IRL game streaming name is. Basically turned the technical flub into a secondary career with a separate audience.
Funniest thing is seeing new people who discovered him not aware of the other identity get blindsided.

Should men who identify as men but stream as female avatars be included in this thread or should they be in a separate thread? They are similar to each other, especially considering some will still chimp out or ignore you if you use the wrong pronouns or gendered language even if they are still men, because they want you to recognize the avatar character and not the man puppeteering the character. I am aware there's a specific moonrunes term for that, "babiniku", but honestly the line blurs a lot between guys LARPing as female avatars for the exploitative benefits versus ones that decide to make their whole identity out of that. Especially on the English speaking side of vtubing.

Some examples I can think of, CirnoTV has always been a proud gooner weeb manchild and sometimes streams as a vtuber of Cirno, but makes no effort to change his persona. You can call him a he and he acknowledges he's a guy.

PorcelainMaid/Joel is some sort of vague tranny bullshit character with "he/him" pronouns and a very obvious masculine voice with a female avatar. He essentially prides his whole brand on confusing people about what his character's gender even is, and has said he loves seeing gooners make angry comments when they hear he's actually male and send him hate over it. Honestly kind of a weirdo. There was a drama where he did a collab with another vtuber named Miilkywayz (obese woman with a literal titcow character) and flirted with her on stream, making both her and her audience uncomfortable, to the point that afterwards she ended up cutting ties a with him and made a statement that she felt pressured to flirt back and thought her audience would prefer that instead of her audience seeing how creepy it was and being disgusted that she engaged with it. There may be other weird things he's said and done I'm not aware of.

Many have already mentioned Zentraya, a man playing a female vtuber character who tries to commit to the kayfabe of the character being female, afaik.

I feel like most of these could fall under "trap" vtubers even though none of them are femboy-like and it's entirely woman avatar, man IRL. They don't seem terribly different to the trans vtubers considering how low effort some of the tranny v-tubers are.

There's a lot of 2views that do this as well, who are likely to forever stay that way because men don't wanna hear other men even if they're looking at an anime girl avatar.
