The coconut crab is a beautiful creature perfectly designed and proportioned that has been the target of a reddit smear campaign by people who repeat what amounts to speculative fictional history as perfect truth and now the target of dwindling population numbers and shrinking sizes from both a long reproductive cycle and reliance on coconut trees for food being disturbed as well as many being killed because people are scared of them and so the most majestic creatures theorised to potentially have a lifespan equal to a human are needlessly slaughtered because they heard some fucking bullshit rumour that they go around murdering pets for no reason. Assisted suicide sounded decent when it was used for people who just wanted to end it if they had something like late-stage AIDS, Cancer, Lou Gehrig's, etc. Now, if you're depressed, you can just do it and they can't say no

Hey, some of us are transdead. Just because I was assigned life at birth doesn't mean that's who I am deep down inside. Besides, the line between death and life is really complicated and full of science, so really who's to say what "alive" or "dead" even mean. White supremacist Karens act like its some kind of binary, like either you're "alive" or you're "dead," but it's actually a spectrum. Did you know the First Nations Peoples (whose land was stolen by transphobes) had hundreds of words for states of being other than "alive" and "dead?" This is deep inner body wisdom we can all tap into once we free ourselves of the patriarchal colonial constructs of "life" versus "death."

What, am I supposed to be concerned about these people ?
If a functional adult decides to end their life for any reason, I have no issue with it, it is the ulimate freedom after all. It's one less person for the welfare state to carry into old age and there's the added benefit of nobody needing to clean brain matter off a ceiling.

the point is that they're offering it to lots of people who aren't functional, aren't adults, or both.
There is also a lot of coercion and financial pressure involved.

It gets presented as this rare thing they want to leave open as an option for a few desperate people. Like someone with terminal bone cancer that is in agony every waking moment. But it quickly spreads to cases it wasn't intended for. Elderly people are often lonely. Instead of solving their loneliness, they offer euthanasia. Someone has mental issues, and instead of getting help, they're offered euthanasia. If the option isn't there, you force them to come up with an alternative solution.

I like how this faggots first, last and only thought on why something like this would be inconceivable to someone is because "muh sky daddy" magically makes people immune to bullets at church or some shit, and not because it's hard to imagine someone so irredeemably ghoulish as the tranny who committed the act could even exist.

I’m a fairly new trans girl (well, “new” in terms of figuring that out for myself), and as you’re all aware, this isn’t exactly a fun year to be a trans person in the United States, and it hasn’t been a great past couple of days. Due to my place in school (a religious one) and part of the country (the south) I can’t be publicly out.
My fiancée knows I’m trans and is so supportive,
and I have a few friends who know and support me. But sometimes the weight of what feels like a world that hates me outweighs that. This is definitely a kind of post you’ve heard before, but I wanted to hear more from anyone what they do or how they cope with these feelings. <3
