P.S. I'm not saying it's all Democrats. But there is a legitimate powerful caucus within the Democratic Party that believes we should cede some trans rights to appease the fascists. Namely, the powerful and influential Third Way organization.

In summary, the civil rights of troons aren’t actually at risk. They can absolutely play sports, use a public toilet, dress as they please, hold jobs, and utilize services. They just have to obey the same rules that the rest of us do. This just puts all of their kicking and screaming into a deliciously infuriating perspective. What they’re actually doing is whining about having to follow these social orders along with us, and tantrumming that society isn’t catering or bending over backwards to make exceptions for them to blatantly act out their gross fetish in public/intimate spaces.

This troon seems to hail from some sort of parallel universe. Even the tranny Redditors in the replies are fact-checking this as false: Trump's current approval rating apparently isn't even close to the lowest in US history and the bit that implies people hate anything more than trannies is just obviously false at face value.
The last line in particular stands out, though:

Trannies were halfway tolerable when they just kept to themselves and spent their days jacking off to loli- it's only when they emerged from their troon dungeons and started causing trouble that the backlash against them started in earnest.
Tranny visibility has only ever been a significant detriment to the tranny cause. As a community, their optics are among the worst in all of recorded history.

This means replacing words such as mother and women with 'inseminated person' and 'menstruator' to appease small group of attention-seeking, self-hating women (revolting against their femaleness yet revelling in the attention they get for doing what other women routinely do - gestating a child). Or giving precedence to men's self-declared gender identity over women's biological reality, collapsing the very basis of female safeguarding (protection from male predation).

They were squawking about imminent trans genocide death camps during the Biden administration. Biden was the most trans affirming president, yet his men were about to round them up in vans any moment if you believed the T. Which reveals just how much many of them desperately want to find oppression everywhere, on top of everything. Misery breeding more misery.
Not to mention that the “trans genocide” moves that the Trump administration have put into play so far comprise more or less of:
- “Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina”
- “Maybe just giving people medically unnecessary medicine and surgery on demand and on the governments dime is actually a pretty bad idea after all”
- “Forcing that on children is even worse too, who approved this”
Some genocide. The trannies themselves are doing a better job conducting one themselves between systematically forcing blockers on kids and committing suicide when it turned out chasing the dragon didn’t help them one bit.
There is a lot that can be said about the Trump administration regardless of how you feel about the man himself. But nearly all of that is either making things that should’ve been clear crystal or improving healthcare standards. The T are getting a reality check and are hating it.

Exactly. There are social changes that a group of people, even a group of people that experience some sort of systemic disadvantage, will want that are not reasonable. 'Messing with kids' is pretty high on the list. Now, I think that there are probably children that have actual gender dysphoria (though these kids have a high likelihood of having been abused in some way, though anyone conducting a study that continues to verify this is limited to saying 'trans kids are especially molestable' and never even touching the idea that there may be a causal relationship going the other way) who could benefit from getting some sort of medical care before and during puberty - but 80% of kids who have some sort of gender identity issues will simply grow out of them by adulthood.
And this is kinda borne out when you look at how the numbers of trans-identified children have risen over the last ten years - it's increased from ~0.7% to ~3.5%. Or pretty much exactly the numbers you'd expect if those 4/5 kids for whom it truly is 'just a phase' were instead encouraged to embrace their issues.
Well...not quite. They want the affirmation, they want people to tell them that they totally are the thing that they like to think that they are. Unsurprisingly they have studies to show that this has a positive effect on the quality of life of trans people (which, duh - when people tell you that you are the thing that you desperately want to be it feels good, when they tell you that you aren't it feels bad).
But they absolutely want the medical treatments, and it's part of the contradictions that the TRAs are advocating for. They absolutely need the hormones and drugs and surgeries because those are all powerful, life-saving medicine for a serious condition - and yet they also want to reduce medical 'gatekeeping'. It's simultaneously serious medical treatment for a serious issue, but it should also be available without barriers.
Meanwhile, there aren't any other treatments that fall under this category. Anything that's 'major' and 'lifesaving' is going to have a lot of hoops and consultations and assessments to jump though because they make serious changes to the body, and have serious side effects. No one says that we need to remove 'gatekeeping' from getting chemotherapy, or joint replacement. Those are obviously major treatments and are treated as such with multiple visits to specialists to best determine the course of action.
There's just a lot of elements to what trans advocates have been pushing for that are either contradictory or special pleading.
Power Leveling doesn't have anything to do with how your story makes you look, it's about keeping personally identifying details out of your posts. If a story has enough distinctive elements that someone could read it and recognize who might be writing it, that's a power level.

I view Trump as a necessary president, not a good or bad one. He was such a low bar to get over and yet Democrats have failed to do so twice. We need him in office so that the left will take a good look at their policies and leaders and figure out why they're out of touch, which will give us stronger choices in future elections. All of these left-wing politicians backing off of trans rights is exactly what I was hoping a Trump presidency would lead to and it hopefully continues.

I believe you. Here in the uk we have had ‘grooming gangs’ (rape gangs, euphemistically names to not make people feel icky.) they prey on young girls mainly.
I used to know a woman who was sort of a social worker sort of not, but her niche was working with children in homes that were set up for very intensive help. Great staff:kid ratios, cost tens of thousands a year per kid, the stuff that should help them be safe etc.
Imagine her shock when she realised that these gangs were picking girls up from outside the home. Of course she tried to stop it. Got stonewalled at every stage.
Her view, after years trying to help, trying to make police and higher reports, was that the foster and care systems in the UK are by design a source if children ‘no one cares about’ to abuse and worse. She told me some quite specific things I won’t PL about, but it turned my stomach.
That was 20 -25 years ago, before all this. I have no trouble thinking that those same predators wouldn’t be licking their lips at these kids as a source of new meat.
When children are away from parents and family they are vulnerable. Now consider how many pushes there are by lobby groups and the state to remove children from parents. Named person legislation. ‘We will jail you if you object to trooning’ in Austria. States who can take custody if you object. Surrogacy that allows ‘ownership’ to just be changed. So many things that let you remove that protective layer.
I’d be amazed if the foster and care systems WERENT being used like this

Literally no company has ever even wanted to ban or refuse service "because you're transgender" - companies only refuse you service when the service is not appropriate. The second commenter is also dumb. First of all, there is no such thing as "sex* assigned at birth" because you cannot change your sex*. So I came out to my mom and gradually to pretty much everyone in my life over the past 6 months and it hasn't gone howni wanted it to but it hasn't exactly gone bad either. So when I told my mom I was living with her and had a job but I also just relapsed and was smoking Crack. I've struggled with substance abuse my while life but my mom kinda also already had some idea about my gender issues since I was like 15 She's caught me crossdressing and found clothes in my room plenty of times while looking for drugs. She's blames my transness completely on drugs and idk how to get her to see then as 2 separate issues or atleast kinda like the drugs have always been a way to cope with thr gender issues. Idk how to even approach bringing it up with her again in a way where she will react in a decent way. I've asked her to call me by my preferred name and she straight up says no. My mental state is pretty bad, I also have some mental health issues and I feel like I'm stuck in a pretty bad depersonalization and derealization episode right now.. my mom literally sits on the couch 5 feet away from me all day long and just deadnames me all day long while we watch Netflix and I scroll thru reddit and Facebook. I just answer to it and don't say anything for now cause i don't Wana start another argument. I'm pretty much financially dependent on her right now cause I'm not mentally able to work, I also just got out of jail about a month ago and she hasn't pressure me to do anything. Idk she pays the copay for my psych meds but she won't help me get gender affirming care of any kind cause she says it's wrong. I feel so stuck and idk how to get myself mentally ready to find a job so I can pay for it myself or find a way to communicate with her effectively. I don't know what I'm even asking but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
