Hi everyone

I don't even know why I'm writing this because I'm just at a loss.

For the background, I'm 2 years into my social transition and almost 3 months in into HRT.

On the one hand, I feel more comfortable as a woman and can see a tiny light at the end of the tunnel when looking into the future, on the other hand, it made many other things such as job seeking way harder and now, my husband (together since almost 10 years and married since almost 9 years) gave me an ultimatum after initially supporting me into this transition process.

I love my husband to bits and I don't want to lose him. I've already said that I would take a bullet for him and I think that my identity as a woman is going to be the one taking that bullet.

The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach but I don't really have a choice. It's a lose-lose situation...

I do love the way gay men refuse to deal with Pooners and Troons alike. I can't imagine anyone angrier than a middle-aged gay man suddenly being told 'surprise, you've been straight all along, because inside, I have always been a woman'.

Troons hate the illusion to be broken, because in reality they are sad lonely people that are running away from themselves like children. They act just like teens that are trying to find themselves. Let's compare a troon to a teen that is obsessed with something, actor, band, sports team or subculture.

  • Posters/stickers/patches of their obsession all over their room and things
  • Has to wear something with their obsession on it when they go out so everyone knows
  • Always talks about obsession
  • You're not a real <blank> if you <blank>. Example: "You're not a real goth if you listen to pop music" "Blaire White isn't really trans because they're conservative"
  • It's not a phase mom, this is really me.
Most people grow out of this after a while, but not troons,

"Comic-book accurately sized Wolverine" pooner shouldn't be too sad. At 5'3 she must positively tower over the other lil doods, and they probably worship her as some sort of god.

I'm curious about these brands that exclusively target transmascs, though. I'm thinking they must sell slightly sized-up versions of the clothing you see on sale for male toddlers. You know, covered with trucks and dinosaurs and slogans across the front saying "HANDSOME LITTLE MAN" and such.

I’m kinda surprised I’ve never seen this discussed on this subreddit because at least for me it’s one of the hardest parts of transitioning. My parents are both unsupportive of me being trans, but my dad in particular says I can’t be a boy and that I’m a “poser” because I show too much weakness by crying and stuff—he says men are only allowed to be happy and mad. If I was a cis guy I would fight against that mentality since I’m a bit of an anarchist, but I don’t really have a choice since I’m trans. Cis guys don’t have to prove they’re men, but we do, that’s what our entire fucking lives are as trans guys. I’ve been trying not to show weakness, but it’s hard and I keep making myself look like an asshole by disguising sadness as anger.

This week has been especially rough because of several factors—I was doing a good job at not being sad for a while, but it’s been coming out as anger, and it’s usually targeted at my little sister since she’s a pain in my ass, and I feel bad because she doesn’t deserve it (she’s only 6). It makes me even more miserable. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep and ended up letting out all of the sadness I’ve been bottling up and crying. I’m extremely disappointed in myself and feel really weak and not masculine enough.

How the fuck do people do it? I’ve never seen my demiboy partner sad OR angry, I’ve lived with my dad all of my life and I’ve never seen him cry, I’m the only guy I know who’s such a damn crybaby. Please tell me there’s a way to stop being so sensitive because I can’t fucking take this anymore

This attitude of despising the sensibilities of the opposite sex seems to be unique among pooners. MtFs hate women, but that's because they are jealous of them and can't have what they have. With pooners it's more like they've spent a month trying to get a reservation at a renowned Argentinian steak restaurant, and then when they get inside they start complaining that the menu isn't entirely vegetarian.

I don't get it. Maybe it has something to do with the superficial/consumerist basis of transgenderism. They want the masculine vibe and aesthetic, but they have no interest in actual masculinity and seem to hate and fear it.

Pooners make me feel like a fucking giant at 5'7" (that's 170.8 cm for my non freedom friends). I don't understand this. I've never even seen so many short women. Why is it the shortest women want to poon out, just become irrationally angry like other short women.

Edit: I only understand freedom units, anything else is an alien language. Fixed)

Wow these girls have no idea what happens to guys when they grow up. Becoming a man is all about proving that you are a man instead of a boy or a fag, and it doesn't really ever stop.

This is one those area of life where girls have it bit easier. Your body gets mature, boom you are a woman because female ability to have babies is just so valuable by itself. This has its own downfalls and unfortunate social expectation but women get away with mental immaturity more and longer than boys do and don't have prove themselves in anywhere near the same level even when they start to loose value as they get middle age and older.

Men are expected to suck it up, be tough, be successful and let set backs roll of your back as soon as they exit childhood. Why? Because basically nobody cares what happens to you, unless you give them reasons to care. You are a member of the disposable gender. An average woman is able to have one baby a year but an average man hundreds if needed. Society doesn't value you merely for existing so you have to do something about it. Become a master of your field, provide valuable service, make good friends and/or have a loving family.

Because they do. Pooners don't actually want to be men, they want to be not-women. Many of the pooners I ever came across are some of the most feminine women I have ever seen. On an instinctual level they are keenly aware how vulnerable they are and are genuinely fearful of men and more overt(what they call 'toxic') displays of masculinity because of that. This is why for many of them, the idea of the man they want to become is this effeminate twinkish pretty boy you would only find in yaoi. They try to shed the insecurities, trauma and vulnerability of womanhood but they also don't want to change who they are internally or be treated the way men are. Want to both have their cake and eat it, basically.

There is a common failure to understand how emotion works with men, particularly among pooners. It’s not that you’re expected to repress your emotions, it’s just that there’s a time and a place. Because, historically, the purpose of men in society was to take charge, to provide and to be strong. Making everyone swarm around you with an ostentatious display of sadness is incompatible with that. Men don’t want to cry in front of everyone all the time.
 
I really don't understand what all the back and forth about the comic is. It's clearly clearly based on the man lady from the Matt Walsh episode of Dr. Phil. And I'm pretty sure he called himself a tranny while looking exactly like the picture in the comic. FML trannies are dumb as fuck.
