There's deli meat which comes from actual roasts and animals. And then there is, as the poster describes, the processed re-assembled meat parts in chicken, beef, ham or turkey flavors.Isn't deli meat just brined roast?? Is it really that much more fucked when made in a "warehouse" in the USA?
Really sorry you were misled about that job, though. I would have been pretty disappointed on my first day at the boning warehouse.
