Why are they lying about this? It's complete fucking horseshit that they wouldn't muster up enough strength for the other person to even realize they started. You would even be able to tell if a 5 year old started putting pressure during an arm wrestle.

More lies to convince people that their magic HRT is totally working and will make them pass as valid heckin' women.

It also comes across as like, threatening, demanding, intrusive, aggressive. A grown man you don’t know from Adam is so presumptuous as to tell you exactly how you’re to address him, that you are to indulge him in his fantasy. He’s compelling the speech of complete strangers with an implied chimp out, emotional burden, putting his wellness in your hands, on people he doesn’t know. The she/her is so much more sinister than cute little colorful buttons or earrings.

That's a handmaiden L, but she's not a very good handmaiden, because she hasn't understood the full Catechism of the Trans Church (which in fairness would be hard to do, because it's incoherent and constantly being updated). In one way, she's right: they are sex-reveal parties, because 'gender identity' is a thought in some people's heads, and no baby or fetus has a gender identity.

But if I were trolling her, I'd say

i) Sex and gender are both social constructs and they are both fluid, you transphobic bigot.
ii) Sex doesn't exist, you transphobic bigot.
iii) Cis white women are the most dangerous enemies of trans people to ever exist, you transphobic bigot. (The post above doesn't specify the race of the poster, but I would bet my house that she is a middle-class liberal white woman).

Aside: "Gender reveal" parties are achingly stupid. I think it's mainly an American thing. The rest of the world just has expectant parents say 'we are having a boy' or 'we are having a girl' and don't hold a fucking party about it.

The power of magical thinking, hugboxing, and/or autism really covers for a lot of things. There's also a lot of athletes who feel more confident when having done a pre-game ritual or a lucky trinket on them - it's a bit like that. Putting your faith in something so you have the hutzpah to even go outside, "I have my amulet of GIRLhood, I will be fine". It can help for things like job interviews and other problems where you have to put aside your panic and putting it into an item can help, but for consistently passing it's a nightmare. It would be akin to an athlete thinking that always wearing their lucky socks even while practicing makes them immune to their practice partners scoring ANY points, then acting shocked when the opposing team scores 2 points even if his scores 6.

The fact that his "bottom dysphoria is gone" is bewildering. Sure he doesn't have a dick anymore, but he doesn't have female genitals by any metric. He has a tangled mess of mutilated nerves and scar tissue, and it's completely non functional, not to mention agonising and trying very hard to kill him. If I suffered some kind of bizarre injury that destroyed my genitals, and I was told that I could either have the... thing... that he has, or a miracle procedure that would perfectly replace my genitals with that of the opposite sex, I'd take the replacement because functional and pain free is vastly preferable to dying slowly of sepsis and urine retention. How can he look down at his rotting, horrific wound that in no way resembles what it's supposed to be and say, "This is better than having a dick?"

Make it make sense.

Neither of these freaks have vaginas, they have wounds in their body. They have a 5 year old's version of a vagina i.e. just a hole. They don't realize how complex the female reproductive system actually is. It's kind of ironic that these guys who want to be women apparently don't know a single damn thing about them. Hate to break it to you, boys, but a vagina is more than just a hole.

Yes and no. What they deliberately chose was surgery to create a 100% true and valid vagina indistinguishable from the real thing, with no complications. The problem is no such thing exists, and they also deliberately chose not to believe evil transphobic lies about the surgery. That’s why their reactions to these horrifyingly complications are either blasé or hysterical: the necrosis is nothing! OMG WHY IS THIS NOT WORKING?? If you really knew the risks and went ahead anyway, you’d be better prepared for the complications. Either way though, you would be crazy.
