You're absolutely correct regarding HIV. From Pedopedia:

A small proportion of humans show partial or apparently complete innate resistance to HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.[1] The main mechanism is a mutation of the gene encoding CCR5, which acts as a co-receptor for HIV. It is estimated that the proportion of people with some form of resistance to HIV is under 10%.[2]

I read somewhere else that this mutation is more prevalent in people from the areas in europe that were worst ravaged by the black plague, it's believed that it also gives inmunity/resistance to it.

It's interesting. She'd started taking hormones to ease her dysphoric body issues, but they have only worsened exponentially, lowered her self esteem, and made her less healthy. If this weren't related to her 'gender identity', anyone would have told her this was exasperating her problems, not solving them. They would advise her to cease taking T and live healthier.

Yet here, the only thing she's asking for is reassurance. She only wants to hear that this will pass, it'll get better, it'll be worth it. Taking the T is only ever encouraged, stopping it doesn't even come up into their minds. They so desperately want to believe these problems are just 'the awkward middle stage' of a wonderfully affirming transformation, like the pupa stage turning the little caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. They cannot bear anything else.

I don't understand how the flag is gonna help. Just based on this picture I'm also not sure which direction this one is going. I'm leaning MtF because the makeup is really uneven and bad and the hair seems very troon typical (would also be weird for a pooner), but the piercings scream female mental case and the face is not that masculine. Might just be pretty young I guess and it's probably more obvious in real life.
