The thing is 'hated universally' is accurate but not true - everyone hates them, but they are only specifically hated by people on the left who buy into identity politics, outside the left they are feminists and therefore hated, but no more or less than any other feminist. And when presented with a choice between hated leftists who are all fat bitches screaming about their vaginas or hated leftists who are all fat bitches screaming about their girldicks and choking out old ladies, most people who don't buy into the trans bullshit will side with terfs.

In reality, I don't think Trump is any different policy wise from the rest of the establishment. But I won't deny that that was the perception of him during the election.
