They changed them.unfuck sieges?
Yea they did do something with the economy, like you said its boosted. Still learning to adjust to it and get that second army going since it seems you get attacked from multiple angles and I am still too used to the old style.Having fun with the build a bear chaos undivided.
Some nice qol changes, I like the new unit browser for example.
Is it just me or is it, easier to get rolling? Growth and economy seems off the chart. I'm playing hard/hard, battles are fine, and campaign ai is fine, I'm not cake walking but the pressure isn't really there because pretty much by the time I'm ready to swoop in my second province I've villages to lvl3 for cash and main settlement to 4. The third fell quicker still
Maybe it's just how chaos play and I'm used to order needing time to digest a province a bit slowing down expansion but I'm at turn 35 and I've got a full stack and two 3\4 stacks without being broke
They did but now ANYTIME you take over a settlement it goes to the Siege map even without walls. Gets monotonous after a while and just AR as before.Did they unfuck sieges? I hated how dumbed down the sieges were in 1 and 2 compared to something like Rome 2 and Atilla where settlements were open and sprawling and had multiple points of entry and elevations, maybe even a river running through it that you could set some spearmen on the banks of. Shit like that that made a settlement feel like an actual place and not a videogame map. It also made strategy a lot more varied rather than just having a fucking grid.
Sort of. The maps are closer to Three Kingdoms with different cap points and more building and tower options. Some of the maps are arguably too complex. The ai and pathfinding is still terrible though. The multiplayer sieges I saw look pretty good(barring said pathing issues and weird bugs), single players probably better than WH1-2 but don't expect anything great out of the opposing ai.Did they unfuck sieges? There is a Big ass open area in the campaign map with no factions in it that is a shoe in for the Dark Lands so Chaos Dwarfs are 99% certain at this point. It's going to be at least six months before I even think of buying it. I also need to know for sure that Chaos Dwarfs are a go.
Its strange since I believe Tzeentch had his tendrils everywhere in Cathay as a result of Imperial Chinese politics being Imperial Chinese politics. Not to mention the Hung and Kurgan were constantly raiding their border regions like a bunch of oh... Chaos-worshipping Mongolians. Oh, and Clan Eshin is everywhere doing assassin things and learning rat-fu, and all that wealth means there's constant Dark Elf raids on the coasts...I like that every empire is in disarray... And out of the blue there's China, a perfect utopia with green grass, pretty maidens and wonderful colors. There's nothing wrong going on in Fictional China. I don't even care what they're called.
There is also mention small religious cults which are portrayed as completely evil and must be genocided. Hmmm... Pandering much?
Ehhh you may want to find someone besides Nurgle till the Mortal Empires Campaign comes out. The Bear Campaign moves a little too fast right now and Nurgle is all about being Slow and Steady, not a good combo.I've been thinking long and hard about getting this game. I sort of was hoping for more of a Warcraft 2 RTS faster paced strategy game but seeing how many varied units are involved means it would be over whelming. Then again any of you who remember TA Kingdoms might think it could work. Still, Warhammer Nurgle looks to be my favorite.
Gave Tzcheench another go, and I like it much better this time. Just started burning chinks in glorious pink flames. Those chariots are absolutely ridiculous, and if you've got a couple of the pink heroes on them as well... Game over.Tried every race now, and can't say I really liked any of them much.
Build-a-demon had promise, but I kinda fucked that one for myself when I basically just made him into Skarbrand/Generic Khorne.
Yea so far liking Khorne, Tzeentch and Ogres. The humans are ok but the other 3 are more fun.Gave Tzcheench another go, and I like it much better this time. I thought I'd like the Ogres, but they just weren't for me. Haven't read any of their lore before, so I didn't know what to expect really.Yea so far liking Khorne, Tzeentch and Ogres. The humans are ok but the other 3 are more fun.
The big issue is they don't specify well if a cavalry unit is an actually capable melee mosh-pitter or a shock cavalry unit. With Kislev if its not on a bear it's shock cavalry, full stop. Dervishes are extremely fragile and are meant for skirmish. Winged Lancers are okayish shock cav, and Griffon Legion is your Big-Boy-Fancy Shock horses. Except they leaned so heavily into the bear theme that the previously iconic Legion unit is now just.. present. Also Calvary is kinda shit. "Good against Infantry" should mean Good against Infantry, not "good against infantry if I micromanage them to run back and forth repeatedly"
Did you play as Skrag or Greasus?I thought I'd like the Ogres, but they just weren't for me. Haven't read any of their lore before, so I didn't know what to expect really.
Looking more and more forwards to Mortal Empires so I can play with my boy Gor-Rok and Kroq-Gar again.
i know it's technically a prequel but they better fucking be there
Skrag. Didn't like the look of Greasus.Did you play as Skrag or Greasus?
Yea Skrag has the Korq'Gar start aka just put in the corner and do what you want. So yea if you played him and didn't like Ogres then probably not for you, just off that though save yourself some time and just skip Nurgle.Skrag. Didn't like the look of Greasus.
