Slaaneshi are just Trannies."Daddy" Nurgle is for bugchasers, who love to get their holes poz loaded. Atleast Slaanesh wears protection.

After I finish my first campaign, I'm gonna turn the Chaos Undivided lord into Kevin Gibes.
ALL HAILLL THE MIGHTYVAMPIRE COAST!
AAAAAH THE BLOOD RUNS COLD! WE TAKE OUR LOOT AND WE DON'T GET OLD!
Surprisingly yes. Caveat is like anything warhammer you have to spend massive amounts of cash to get the full experience. They even make you pay like 5 bucks just to put blood back in the game, it's insane. Each one that's come out is kind of shitty by itself, but if you buy all them you unlock the "actual" campaign which is basically every game put together. So they're more like expansions then standalone games. Were these Total War/Warhammer blends any good? They were never high on my radar so I didn't really look into them. Though I did love Dawn of War, even though those games are different.
I lucked out to some extent. The series has been on sale on Steam so I got a slightly better price. I picked up everything and have been running Mortal Empires. It is pretty great! Trying to sail my ships from Albion to that island with the swirly tornado thing. Those jerk-ass elves need to be brought down a few pegs.Surprisingly yes. Like it's actually kind of incredible how much money they try to suck out of you. Like almost none of the stuff that makes the game fun is in a vanilla version

Protection for Slaanesh consists of first fucking one person, then fucking a second person whilst still inside the first.Protection doesn't sound all that Slaaneshi like
I'm going to take issue with that. WHI was a big game with months of replayability at minimum as you tried out different factions and different ways of playing those factions. You had Empire, Dwarves, Goblins/Orcs, Vampires and orcs. And that's rolling like factions in together (Goblins and Orcs, different dwarf clans, etc.). Big map, lots of tech trees and multiple campaigns. WHII was the same - it played absolutely boss as its own complete game. The fact that you could stick them together and make one giantSurprisingly yes. Caveat is like anything warhammer you have to spend massive amounts of cash to get the full experience. I jumped in at 2 so I don't know how good the first one's campaign was by itself. 2's was straight up barren though and I end up playing solely Mortal Empires for that reason. I love how massive it's gotten, but all those 10 dollars add up after awhile.Protection for Slaanesh consists of first fucking one person, then fucking a second person whilst still inside the first.

The fact that you could stick them together and make one giantultrongame didn't detract from the massive replayability. And the DLC was pretty reasonable. I mean, you could get Norscans for what, £8? Wood elves for over a tenner. But... these were whole factions with large army rosters, a campaign, lots of new models. The TW:WH games are one of the few where DLC does make sense because if you put everything they did in one game it would cost a fortune and be an insane amount of content. And it's not pay to win like some. Core units and armies from the base game are competitive even in multi-player. And in single player the question is meaningless.
No, going to stand my ground on this one. Sure, you can spend a hundred quid on the game if you want to, but you get an incredible amount of content for that and even if you don't buy it, you're still left with a very large and complex game.
Honestly this slowly jewing the customers a few quid at a time is why I haven't bought TW:WH 3, and may not at all. If like the last game it takes forever to get cracked I may just get the base game on sale/from a key reseller and then use Cream API to get the DLC free, because fuck CA, but most likely I'll wait til it's cracked. I'm mostly interested in the mega campaign which won't be out for a while anyway so not really missing anything.but all those 10 dollars add up after awhile.
It's really one of these series where you had to be in it from the beginning to go along with the ride, paying for a lord pack twice to 3 times a year is a lot more bearable than jumping in now. While not impossible, is pretty hard when there is 2 games an a fuck load of DLC to purchase to get the full experience, all of variable quality. Only good thing is that whenever CA released a new DLC, everything else went on sale. I've been playing since game 1, so it's not so painful, but yeah, very hard to jump into.Honestly this slowly jewing the customers a few quid at a time is why I haven't bought TW:WH 3, and may not at all. That seems to be the consensus is that you have to micro hard as hell to play Slaanesh without some form of other chaos reinforcement. At the least the campaign will allow you to recruit allied troops where you have an outpost (If Chaos can do that, I believe they can). Hell just getting some basic Chaos Warriors or something akin to Mirror Guard would help a lot.How is this army meant to compete with other, more fleshed out rosters from the older games atm? It's a fucking hammer and anvil faction with no anvil. Even Brettonia has dogshit chaff peasants and archers to draw the enemy into a clashing lines with your crappy infantry while your knights wrack up kills. This factions seems to rely on you always clicking nonstop to ensure your units are moving.
Imo Slaanesh is probably the most micro intensive faction in the game, across all the games. They have no range, no real flyers and no armour. With other micro intensive factions like Brettonia or WE, you have range units to force the opponent to move, flyers to distract or just get up in the air if you need them to survive. You don't have that for Slaanesh, it always has to be moving, flanking, ambushing to avoid getting deleted/bogged down. That seems to be the consensus is that you have to micro hard as hell to play Slaanesh without some form of other chaos reinforcement. The Dark Prince being the 'Skate Fast, Eat Ass' faction is sensible but I think if you want a decent time of it you either need to get those allied troops or just play Chaos Legion so you can bring in some heavier soldiers. As for their lack of range the only Chaos force that features good range play is Tzeentch. The rest of the chaos troops throughout all 3 games have either a few cheap harassers or a one off unit. WoC still rely either on Marauder Horse units or the hellcannon.
I'm not familiar enough with Daemon or Chaos units to know if there's any units they could add to buff up the Four's roster. I'm honestly just happy that Tzeentch isn't wholly screwed for once.
