Skitzocow though he may be, Todd has shared privately that he's been subject to multiple cyber-attacks via the website he operates [and has operated on and off for much of the last decade] without benefit of a domain. While I'd normally be skeptical of the idea of illicit material being "planted", in a situation like this it's very much possible. Also, while I couldn't corroborate it, he stated that there was evidence that the file in question was never accessed prior to its discover by LE and originates from a date after the device was removed from his possession in the wake of the hoax school shooting threat that originated on Hate & Flame. Whether either of those things is true or not I have no idea.
It's true that the police in his area - and, to be fair, he's contributed to this by being needlessly belligerent with them - seem to be inept as far as it concerns investigation of cyber-crimes and want to be more heavy-handed with Todd than the would be with someone else. I find it hard to believe that if it weren't Todd Daugherty that they would have made more of an effort to see where that school threat originated from, particularly when dealing with a website that allows you to post anything you want using any name you want.
Todd is a doofus, but given the fact that he's been a target of harassment for almost twenty years now by people determined to screw with his life [some of whom are posting in this thread and suggesting things that would otherwise constitute "pozloading my neghole"] and who have screwed with his life in numerous ways, I'll remain skeptical until we get to the trial stage.
