A less than lethal round isn't guaranteed to stop someone, especially if they're charging or about to be charging at you with a knife while on drugs/and or having a mental breakdown.
Aiming for the head is idiotic anyway since the chance to miss a moving target on a headshot is very high.

Either of these going wrong ends up with you having a person in full on fight or flight mode in your face with a knife. That doesn't account for the fact that it would be ridiculous for police to carry around an extra shotgun full of rubber stopper slugs. If you need to use lethal force to defend yourself and others, you do it. Knife wielding maniac coming at you is kinda a shining example of when that's acceptable. It's probably better for society those people are shot and killed anyway.

European Cops are alot better trained than US cops(well continental european, the brits are just a joke).
Its not the streetcops who care the problems, its the rules and the court system thats laughable.

Our police doesnt stand down if antifa attacks random people. watercannons are normal as reserves at alot of footballs games and demonstrations and even street police has pretty good protection against knifes, bottles, etc.

That was mostly militia.

European police has pretty big brawls every weekend. its not even news, just a big football match.
they also use water cannons at alot of demonstration. brawls like the antifa does in the US wouldnt happen in europe. the police is more than willing to beat up both sides, and they have enough trained personal and anti riot equipment to do so. European antiriot police is pretty much like a ancient army. guys with shields in front, horses on the side and watercannons in the back.

Your cops generally have to deal with white people committing crimes of passion, not jungle bunny gang members and MS13. I don't buy that they're better trained for a second.

Antifa is literally never a problem in cities that don't have a very progressive (and no I don't mean blue because look at Boston) mayor and/or commissioner covering for them. They're practically a paramilitary arm of the government in places like Portland hence no police involvement or even police aid. The cities you see in the news for this and policing in them have much bigger problems than Antifa anyway, and as usual the problems come from the people controlling them not letting police do what is necessary (and legal in America) to fix the problem like arresting and prosecuting belligerent junkies. Let me know when "sexual emergency" isn't a get out of jail free card for raping a minor and we can talk about America having problems with the progressives stopping police and the justice system from doing their jobs.

The best defense against a guy wielding a knife is a gun. I think you're just going to have to face the fact that our median cop is at about the level of your median swat team in terms of training, gear, and experience.

This unwittingly paints such a grim picture of this guy's life. There was never stability, and the only things he reached out to for help, the "activism" and tumblr gender club, were deliberately made to wreck lives instead of improve them. Everybody involved had a hot fucking mess of a life, and there was no reason for straight XY Scott and his straight XX girlfriend to be mixed up in any of it.

The best change the school could ever hope for happened when the cult leader in charge of the troon club offed himself, good riddance. Who knows how many young people's futures got kneecapped by that asshole.

Americans (outside of West Virginia) are capable of attending athletic events without rioting afterwards. Yay us, shame the cops have to sit around bored out of their minds after them directing traffic though.
