I'm surprised they only fired once. Don't the police usually magdump in these cases because firing once somehow means you weren't in mortal danger? Or is that just a problem for civilians who find themselves in self-defense situations?
multiple shots are generally recommended, yes
but if the target immediately collapses to the ground after one hit, more shots are no longer necessary because it has already ceased being a threat

This was what is commonly known as suicide by cop. It ranks up there with steppong in front of a train as the most selfish cowardly and depraved way to kill yourself by forcing someone else to do it.

Even the local Atlanta Liberal Press like the Atlanta Journal Constipation sees this for what it is and backs the cops. (I mean the snowflake was white after all!)
I’d say parking your car on the train tracks is one of the more selfish ways to take yourself out because you’re more than likely to take some innocents with you in the process.

Actually, the chances of a car parked on the track doing anything to the train is virtually nil, (2011 Toyota Camry 3,570 lbs- Typical US railroad freight locomotive -80 tons) but, the poor engineer is another story.....

Love how he approached the chick with knife rather then the dude telling him to chill, He knew who was gonna shoot.
Binary or two spirited or whatever gay shit but he was a sexist to the bitter end.
:story:

21 Foot Rule, but it requires closing the gap and the other person not having their pistol in their hands.
It also implies that the person with the knife actually has a knife (not some Chinese knockoff Leatherman) and is physically an actual threat.

The fact is, a real cop, like they had decades ago, could have recognized this mentally-ill invert as no real threat, and taken him down with a blunt instrument of his choice. Unfortunately, real cops are now a minority. Where men who could become real cops are hired, training ensures they will not become real cops. Every cop has to behave towards everyone they encounter like they're a 90-pound woman 'police' trying to take on a 300-pound muscleman and shoot first and ask questions later, because to do anything else would be discriminatory or call into question whether anyone but a hard man should be dealing with the high-conflict, low-information situations that police often do.

That is not to say that the pig shouldn't have blown this guy away. Any human should be entitled to blow this enemy of society away, regardless of whether they had swung the scissors out from their multitool or not.

The problem is the dipshit wanted to get shot but didn't have the courage to do it to themselves. They had to force a cop to kill them and make that person suffer too, along with anyone else that may have been watching it. Narcissism till the end.
Still a threat regardless. Many stories of people high on adrenaline continuing to charge forward after being shot in the heart. Not like they pumped the troon full of lead either, you can hear them shrieking after being shot. A complete cowards way to go, having to get a cop to do it instead of necking themselves. A swan dive off a building would have been a more dignified death than what they did.

The cops handled it by the book as near as I can tell. Multiple clear commands are made, and the consequences of not complying are set. Then you hear a single gunshot and what appears to be the squealing of a hog can be heard.

It's going to be a case that gets studied in the academy after the parents lose their suit.

Well maybe if mom and dad had gotten him the psychological help he so clearly needed instead of indulging in his troon delusions, he might still be alive today. But, I guess it is easier to just indulge him with some made up pronouns, send him off to live unsupervised, and then blame campus cops for not getting him the help he needed.

I feel sorry for him and the cops who killed him, but honestly how did the parents not imagine that this could be a real possibility when you send an untreated mentally ill person out into the world on their own for the first time? You can't pass off the buck of taking care of your own delusional child to a college that expects your adult offspring to be able to function as an adult.

Struck gold there.....

When you decide to outsource a loved one's mental health treatment to the public, don't be surprised if the public decides the safest and cheapest option is to lock them up or put them the fuck down.

So much of modern liberalism/SJWism/progressiveness is the total abdication of personal responsibility in favor of touchy-feeley "public/community caring about the issue", and then howling like mad when you don't like the choices you forced others to make in your stead because you wanted a free therapist, not a free trip to the rubber room.

If you demand a free meal from a stranger, don't be shocked if you get a packet of soup crackers and not an 8oz steak. This is beyond "champagne tastes but only beer money", this is caviar tastes on NO money.....

So, basically another fucking inhinged faggot in a dress had a violent outburst.

As far as I'm concerned- we're lucky this particular faggot in a dress decided to go after cops instead of some 8-year-old child laughing at the faggot in a dress.

These policemen deserve medals and free coffee forever.

Are people in their 20s considered children nowadays?
The way they act, yes, yes they are. At least mentally and emotionally. Physically? Yeah no, that what can make them dangerous.

If you watch the early seasons of Cops in the late 80's and early 90's you'll see them doing actual police work. They'll talk to people firmly but will listen to them and find out what's going on. Now it's taser or shoot without hearing someone out. The militarization of police is very real and it's kinda crazy how aggressive they are with everyone.

Once he/she/it is down like it seems, you assess and if they are getting up or charging again, you fire again. Mag dumping into people isn't always the answer.

Sure, sue the cops trying to clean up the mess you made of your kid.

Don't sue the surgeons or endocrinologists who created this monster. Don't sue the black transgender "den mother" at Georgia Tech who encouraged this man's radicalization. Don't sue the college that allowed no wrongthink about his issues and demanded that students accede to his psychosis. Don't sue the psychologists who failed to help him realize that things like "intersex" aren't things you can identify into, and that an identity in that much flux shouldn't be making life-changing decisions. Sue the cops who shot him while he ran at them with a knife. Sure.

Anyone who thinks you should close in on someone with a knife hasn't got a clue how to actually handle an armed situation.

Let me put it this way.

You have a gun. They have a [insert melee weapon].

You can certainly take your chances and close in and try to manually disarm them, or use your little police stick, or tickle their butthole, whatever the fuck you think will work. But let me say this one more time.

You have a gun.

Read that one more time.

It takes very little for that to change when you're at arms' length. Because you do not know the aggressor and their capabilities, a lot of shit can go wrong, and then the situation becomes:

They have your gun now.

I don't think they'll admire it, clean it, and hand it back to you.

Congratulations, you just armed a psychopath with an even deadlier weapon. If they don't kill you with it, I hope you're strong enough to bear the guilt of the other people he'll end up killing with it. Better hope they'll avoid targeting children.

To be fair, it was a "they." The choices were to either "misgender" it, call it their "child," or call it something even more awkward like "offspring" or "progeny." If it had been a normal he or she, there would be the option for son or daughter, but alas.

Speaking of which, that news article is a prime example of how singular "they" gums up the language so royally, it's almost impossible to tell who is where doing what when you read it, if you didn't already have some clue.

Just wait until the whole "children's rights" ramps up again. Where any attempt to idicate that a parent has any rights over their child, that children are basically autonomous creatures living with you from the point when they exit the womb, and giving any rules or indicating that you are possessive of them in any way (my son, our daughter, the neighbor's child) is oppressive. It flared up for a short while towards the end of the Bush years, but got laughed at and disappeared.

Now look at the people helping preteens get hormones behind their parent's backs/encourage them to get surgery and realize they never went away, just regrouped.
