He absolutely seems like the kinda guy who would give a speech about toxic masculinity, only to later roofie a girl scout so he could molest her feet.

Congratulations, you have described 90% of soi-disant male feminists.

... Star Trek has always been political. It had the first significant interracial kiss on television for fuck's sake.
He’s a moron. No one is saying Star Trek is too political. Anything just to call someone “Alt-Right”. How big is the Alt-Right anyway? According to Doyle they’re apparently 80% of the human population.

WHAT? Star Trek had political allegory? ALERT THE MEDIA!

Jeebus Christ, this dickhead is both insufferable AND obtuse.

Yes, anyone with a brain and pulse knew this shit already.

Also, i'm nowhere near "alt-right" (minor powerleveling ahead), since I voted for Bill Clinton and Obama both times, but i'm quite frankly tired of SocJus panty sniffers like Tim trying to make EVERYTHING into a political/social justice sperg-a-thon. Yes, I know that Superman has been fighting for the underclass since the Golden Age. Yes, I know that Star Trek is "socialism in space". Yes, I know that Leia is a general now. Please, Tim - tell me more about shit I already knew about long before you were the product of too many wine coolers and a busted condom.

Is Doyle a Narcissist or a Sociopath?
Let's check the signs:
Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and lack of empathy as indicated by 5 or more of the following:
  • Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (exaggerates achievements, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
  • Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited power, success, brilliance, beauty or ideal love
  • Believes her or she is “special” and can only be understood by similarly special, high status people
  • Requires excessive admiration
  • Has a sense of entitlement
  • Is interpersonally exploitative
  • Lacks empathy
  • Is envious of others or believes others are envious of him/her
  • Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
Antisocial Personality Disorder

A pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others, occurring since age 15, as evidenced by 3 or more of the following:
  • Failure to conform to social norms as evidenced by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
  • Deceitfulness
  • Impulsivity
  • Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
  • Reckless disregard for the safety of others
  • Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial commitments
  • Lack of remorse, as being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt others
  • The individual is at least 18 years of age

>Superman is about an immigrant coming to America and us being better for it

Yeah, I remember those Superman stories where he talks about how great it is to be the world's nanny. Imagine how stupid the concept would've been if he was about inspiring people to improve themselves so they wouldn't need a Superman and if he saw himself as a regular guy who just wants to be a good Samaritan. Truly our god and not some random fuck from Kansas.

This is getting too meta. I know someone is going to point out left-wing vs right-wing philosophy with that but my point is Tim getting it wrong.

Once again, Tim wastes valuable battery life and cellular data telling us something we already fucking knew.

Also, I have no problem with these stories or what they're trying to say.....because they do it in a way that doesn't bash you over the head with the message, nor written terribly by morons who can't write for shit.

There's no way that a person with working eyes and a brain can look at horribly drawn and written tripe like "Squirrel Girl" and "The Pervert", and say that these are comics worth spending any time or money on.

What's more unrealistic, a time travelling telekenetic cyborg or a guy who had 50+ years of publication history being gay all of a sudden?

Iceman (Bobby Drake) is one of the original X-Men members from 1963. In 2013 Brian Michael Bendis wrote a story in which the original X-men team (from the '60s) is brought to the present.

In April 2015, in issue 40 of All-New X-Men, a time-displaced version of the teenage Iceman was revealed as gay by his teammate, Jean Grey, who discerned this with her telepathic ability.

This gave birth to fan theories by comic fans that Jean Grey was giving gay conversion therapy to Iceman. This then snowballed into turning the Present Iceman gay as well, which gave birth to one of the worst portrayals of a gay comic book character ever in Iceman (Solo-Series):

The whole 'Iceman being gay' was a horribly written decision that was made just to appease the usual SJW outrage mob. In issue 19 of All-New X-Men (Vol.2), it's revealed that the Young X-Men aren't even the X-Men from the 616-timeline (Marvel Main Continuity), making the snowball effect of making Present Iceman gay continuity breaking.

Oh, you can just smell how bitter he is that Jawbreakers not only made more cash through crowdfunding, but is actually delivering on its promises.

Actually they went back on that. They're 616 again but are going to have to somehow lose the extra powers, memories, and de-age by at least a year before they can go back. They need to somehow become exactly what they were right before they were dragged to the present.

It's dumb, yes.

Cyborg's son sounds fucking awesome. And he's handicapped representation too! What's Tim got to complain about if people love him?

I stopped reading all Marvel a while after that, I'm not up to date on most of Marvel.
