So Comicsgate reminded me of an interesting quirk I'll share with all of you.
Think back to the Autism Holy War, and the lolcow distribution therein - how for every productive pro-GG cow, there was about 20 productive anti-GG cows, many of which were in high-level positions on their side. Think of the differences in degree as well - how whenever there was a GG cow that went completely bugfuck (Vordy coming to mind), the result from much of GG was, for the most part, condemnation, but when a GG opponent advocated pedophilia, defended said pedophile, or squawked about how they wanted to subject supporters of a hashtag to violent torture and mass-murder, it was usually dismissed as "no big deal" by the ideologues on their side, if they didn't try to defend it outright. This is to say nothing of the actual sex offenders their side tended to possess.
Comicsgate is going to have a virtually identical breakdown of the spergs therein. So is Magicgate if you want to consider that shit a thing.
The reason is very simple: It's the same ideology at fault in all cases, and that ideology tends to carry certain patterns among those who follow it. On top of this, a number of people in the same side on each of these have connections to the same ideology elsewhere - watch an Anti-Comicsgate poster on Twitter some time and you will without exception eventually watch them inevitably sperg about how Gamergate ruined everything (if they don't blame it for Comicsgate) or signal boost one of the usual suspects.

I can’t belive how threatened these people are by a dude that makes rambling videos on his phone with no production value and often without a cohesive direction. They are so fragile that this is what is destroying them? A guy rambling on a camera phone saying ‘um’ 30 times a minute is going to bring down the ‘SJW comic industry’. Amazing.

I started reading his Tweets right after the feud with Zack started and this guy is the embodiment of what's wrong with the comics industry today. Why do these people mix their ideology with everything they touch? As far as I understand, this dude runs a printing studio, what does he has to say about what's in the comics he prints? Does he get extra jobs for pandering to a certain group in the biz? I bet he does... and that's corruption, my friends. Pure, transparent corruption. Hardly something to be proud of. He makes art prints of various licensed characters. Some of which people suspect he doesn’t have licenses for. Disney is not involved with Doyle as far as I can tell.
I went pretty far in my digging for the OP and he was an asshole before Trump. But after the great meltdown and the Tump salt mine opening he went from occasional asshole to full time asshole. My bet, he won’t change. At most maybe go back to being an occasional asshole.
