Sorry, but this is a very dishonest edit by Kevin Logan who cuts off Thunderf00t mid-argument.

Thunderf00t's argument is that the distinction between bad sex and rape is when consent has been withdrawn. His example of rape is when a woman withdraws consent and her partner continues. His example of bad sex is when the woman does not withdraw consent but later decides that it was rape.

He is basically saying that finishing without consent is at the lowest end of the spectrum when it comes to rape.

Yep. I can't remember the title of Thunderf00t's original video right now, but you'll notice that Kevin didn't bother linking to it. I'll keep looking around and update my post when I find it.

I think Phil's wording is poor in his argument, but he clearly gives two different scenarios that involve consent. Kevin has only shown you the one scenario which Thunderf00t said was rape while suggesting that Thunderf00t just thinks it is bad sex.

But its funny that all it took to break Thunderfoot was 5 months into Trump's presidency. Not creationists, not Anita in the UN, not even a budget cut to his science department - just 5 months of Trump bumbling around and doing basically the same stuff the other US presidents were doing before him. As if we needed more proof that Trump winning the election was the best thing to happen to the world yet.

I posted this in Sargon's thread but it actually works better here:

I have the distinct impression that most of the people saying "their both in the wrong" haven't actually watched the Sargon's videos where he responds to Thunderf00t.

Sargon's problem with Phil isn't that he thinks edgy humor is somehow ethically wrong, Phil's been like that for a while and there's never been any real animosity between them, or if there was it was entirely one sided. His problem is that Phil singled Sargon out of a group of people and edited his video to make it seem like Sargon was laughing at a joke when he was laughing at something else.

In this instance he wanted to paint Sargon as an edgelord who made off color jokes at a murder victims expense and listened to an hour long stream to find evidence. However he couldn't actually find an example of Sargon making any such jokes, so he decided that an example of him laughing at someone else's joke would be good enough. But he couldn't even find a good example of that so he edited his video to show somebody making a joke shortly after the stream started and cut to Sargon laughing at another joke that was made like 50 minutes later. And the joke he was laughing at was directed at the perpetrator and the media.

Like is said, if it was just a difference of opinion regarding whether its right to enjoy edgy humor then these two would have come to blows a long time ago. If he didn't make a very deliberate attempt at misleading people then Sargon probably wouldn't even respond. It just comes off as incredibly petty.

Its just like his incredibly grasping "take down" of Lauren Southern, were she called a group of Antifa "anti-Trump Communists". This apparently was such a massive mis-characterization that it warranted a 20 minute video and a follow up after Lauren correctly pointed out the Antifa are clearly just commies masquerading as anarchists. An observation that should be clear to almost anyone that does the slightest bit of research into the group.

Gamer Gate and Atheism+ were the beginning and end of his contributions to the skeptic/anti sjw community. Ever since Brexit he's been a John Oliver quoting remoaner with a stick up his ass, and its hurting his bottom line, his abysmal subscriber/views ratio and a patreon that's about half the size of a guy who's been around for less than half the time is proof of that. Remember, back when his research position was potentially on the line he stated that his online earnings were high enough that he could just quit and work for free. Now that his position is again in jeopardy on account of Brexit and his audience is looking elsewhere he's trying to appeal to anyone who doesn't want to be associated with Sargon and that whole sphere.

Imagine a world where this pretentious neckbeard actually contributed anything. He didn't get involved with Autism+ or GooberGate because Autism+ and the "anti-GamerGate" crowd were hilarious losers. He got involved with fighting them because he's upset easily. It's why he's going after Sargon now and why he screeched autistically about the Brexit.

Honestly it was probably his dad's relatively sudden death by cancer that broke him. They seemed close and his loss crushed thunderf00t. After that Brexit happened and triggered the chimping spiral.

I feel bad for him, losing a family member is probably extra hard when you spend 99% of your time obsessing over and proselytizing the idea of there being no afterlife. Doesn't excuse him turning into a tard though, of course.

He's actually a pretty intelligent physical chemist that does academic work. I never watched him regularly but I heard he even documented a discovery he made on his channel: That the mechanism by which alkali metals like sodium explode when dropped in water was not a chemical explosion, as had been thought for ages, but a Coulomb explosion (basically an electronic explosion, caused by an extremely rapid and violent exchange of charge).
