If it was a really long day at work or more laborious than usual, I'll catch myself taking a nap afterwards. I prefer not to because it'll fuck up my sleep schedule but sometimes a nigga gotta get his z's

I generally take a daily nap due to my disability. It's a very mild condition, but it makes me a little more tired, so an hour or so of napping a day is refreshing. It's healthier than my old habit consuming nearly a gram of caffeine over the course of the day.

Traditionally, it's theorized humans evolved to sleep multiple times daily and nightly. However, for modern life, it may not be a good idea to nap if it keeps you up at night, because we aren't cavemen and we have to go to work, which is difficult if we're awake all night from an afternoon nap.

In terms of other things that can help daily energy levels, a morning workout can perk you up once you get used to it. It's exhausting at first, but once the body gets used to it the endorphins and physical activity give you a burst of energy for the rest of the day.

I don't take them "voluntarily". But sometimes I am so dead tired that I fall unconscious and take a nap on the bus or on the sofa.

I always feel like death whenever I wake up from a nap on the sofa, never in the bus for some reason.

Also, I wouldn't recommend napping on the bus that much. Most of the time I'm fine and wake up before my stop. But once I woke up in the middle of bum fuck nowhere and had to figure out a way back home. That and you'll probably get robbed.

if I feel really awful during my usual lunch hour at work or after I'm done for the day, I'll set an alarm for 30 minutes and go lay down. I do it on the weekends, too, if I don't feel well. it helps a lot, but going over 20-30 minutes and I feel much worse in most cases, and/or can't sleep properly that night, sometimes developing a wonderful cycle of pain.

No. The Government tells me napping is racist.
