Some years ago I was in a ski trip in the USA and I rented the perfect set of ski shoes which I'm still salty about not buying after the trip's end.

So this thread is about such cases that, in retrospect, you wish you have bought.

A couple of PS3 games before they shot up in price when Sony announced they would shut down the store. Still pissed that the HD collections for PS2 games are 35 to 60 dollars, usually.

Some years ago there was big scale garage sale at my village. One of the stands was run by two little grannies selling Pokemon brand stuffs their grand-children didn't wanted anymore (because too old now).
It was before the pokemon cards craze and they were selling full filled card books at 11 euros each. I regret not buying them with the plushies I got because now one of my nephews want some cards and they are pricy as fuck.

An antique shop was selling a real Civil War musket used in the battle of Fredericksburg for $900. I wanted it BAD but decided not to forgo food.
In hindsight, a bad choice.

easy mode: bitcoin when i first heard of it, i could be a millionare right now.

I bought a Norinco AK-56 in 1987 with bayonet, cleaning kit and three 30rd mags for $285 (Dad had an FFL) I wish I had bought a few dozen more. :(

my non crypto answer would be all the cheap surplus guns i saw before boomers bought it all up because of obama. i didnt buy it at the time since i figured cheap surplus would probably remain cheap surplus for the foreseeable future, giving me plenty of time to buy it.

I remember seeing a limited edition Simpsons themed Xbox 360 for about $1000 on eBay some years back.

This was to coincide with the movie.
The game (That was also a tie-in with the movie) on the PS3 has also been pretty pricey. Usually 30 to 50 dollars. I got a copy on Ebay for, I think, what was 35 dollars. It's also a Game stop case. Generic replacement cover art, shitty case, and no original Manual. Probably not the greatest investment since I still haven't finished it (Procrastination is a bitch) so I should get around to doing that but I remember it being both fun and funny.

I had a copy of The Simpsons Game a few years ago on Xbox 360. Then, my games got stolen.

Speaking of which, I saw a copy of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for PS3 for $60 at a local game store. I didn't buy it because I didn't have a PS3. With how much it is worth NOW, I should've bought it and had a rarer copy.

It's funny you mention Blood on the Sand because that's also a game I own. I saw it at a game store for 80 dollars and bought it (For the meme was not a good reason to waste money). I've played, like, 2/3rds of the way through and then stopped (Cause I'm retarded and can't stop doing that). It was actually very fun just being 50 cent and shooting shit.

A nice painting of Charleston's street (the one with the Episcopalian church on it) in the Charleston market.
Potentially a VERY expensive Gullah palm frond doll for my mother.
Probably a Gullah palm frond flower for myself. (This is what I did buy my mother.)

You know, you could have used that musket to acquire food...

An Audrey Hepburn Blu-Ray collection at a flea market. That would've been so cool to have, espeically since Sony is going to cease making Blu-Rays I heard.

A ticket to an Ennio Morricone concert back in 2016/17, but I was barely scraping by on a diet consisting largely of rice, peanuts and (small) protein shakes - he's no longer around and I would have liked to see the maestro conduct his greatest scores.

I passed on a pair of Altec A7 speakers getting dumped behind a theater because they had bad crossovers. Didn't have the knowhow at the time on fixing that stuff. Still kick myself over that.
